Russell Hobbs Distinctions Kettle in Titanium

Was super keen on putting this kettle to the test as it is an appliance that is used multiple times a day and my rating would be very close to perfection. I'll start with the negative and the ONLY negative is that there is definitely room for improvement with the handle. As the handle is on top of the kettle, rather than on the side you have to be extremely careful when handling once boiled as you could very easily burn yourself as I almost did. If you hold it close to one end you'll burn your wrist as you pour the kettle and if you hold it close to the other end you'll burn yourself from the steam so you kind of need to hold it directly in the middle. Other than that though, this is a great kettle. It's a lot quieter than other kettles I've owned, boiling time is also fairly quick. The style/appearance is also reminiscent of the old gas kettles so if you like nostalgia, you'll love this!

In unboxing the kettle I was surprised to discover a shiny stainless steel finish, as the pictures in the box suggest a matt grey. The position of the lid could make refilling the kettle difficult for people with large hands or joint pain. The lid itself feels flimsy. It’s very quiet and comes to the boil quickly. Unfortunately the kettle doesn’t appear to shut off after boiling which makes me wonder if it’s faulty (as I tried a number of times and with different amounts of water). The light on the switch also flickers and the kettle rocks slightly on the base as the water boils. The position of the handle makes pouring easy, but the plastic under the handle feels cheap. I’ve had a Russell Hobbs Kettle previously and was happy with it, but unfortunately this one looks and feels quite cheap.

Great kettle which is easy to use. However due to the kettle being entirely stainless steel is does become extremely hot to touch. When the kettle is filled to the max it is also quite heavy which could be harder on older people.

I recently tested the Distinctions Kettle in Titanium and I have to say, I'm in love with it! The sleek and modern design looks amazing in my kitchen. This kettle is incredibly easy to use. The water heats up quickly and I love the fact that I can easily see how much water is in the kettle thanks to the water level indicator on the side. The handle is comfortable to grip and stays cool to the touch, even when the water is boiling. The build quality of the kettle is also impressive. It feels solid and durable and I have no doubt that it will last for years to come. Overall, I'm extremely happy with it

We really love this kettle and its an amazing design. A large handle, makes carrying a fully boiled kettle safer and easier in the kitchen. The smooth and sleek design for the titanium body of the kettle is very appealing. It's the perfect addition next to the titanium toaster from Russell Hobbs in our kitchen. The spout for pouring it large and allows for an easy pour of hot water. The cleaning of the kettle is really easy, thanks to the design of large access points of the kettle.

I was ecstatic to receive the latest Russel Hobbs kettle. The kettle has a modern aesthetic appeal. It is quick and has a good capacity. The handle is cute. The only problem was that the water residue stains was easily visible and had to clean them often.

This kettle looks so stylish and unique than the kettles we have in the market now. Turn on switch with the light looks very nice too. Doesn’t make a lot of noise when boiling and pours beautifully. A little warning, I’ve burnt my hand a couple of times as the outside of the kettle gets really hot when/after boiling. But love the look and does the job perfectly!

I absolutely love the Russell Hobbs titanium kettle and toaster pack. From the colour scheme to the design. Although slightly smaller than your average kettle you can’t notice the difference and the sleek design is a real statement piece in my kitchen. So hard to find an attractive design in kettles and toasters. I was immediately impressed as soon as I unboxed these items. I have had nothing but positive comments from visitors about my new kettle and toaster that I wouldn’t be surprised if they went out and purchased them too!

The kettle is modern and stylish. It has a unique design without being too extravagant. It is a quite boiling kettle which I found was a nice feature. The handle makes it comfortable to pick up and carry. The kettle came with a matching toaster and both combined they sit nicely on my bench and matches all decor.

Super fast and super quiet kettle. The stainless steel looks really good on my countertop next to the coffee machine. The body of the kettle does get super hot though. My husband found that if the lid is not on it won't stop boiling, but who doesn't put the lid back on!

Impressively fast to boil water. Looks Soo good in the kitchen, all my friends ask where I got it and want the same set. It's elegant and easy to use. Highly recommend!

I love the shiny finish to this kettle, I love that it is ergonomic to use. Having the top handle just made for a very balanced, no risk of spilling kettle. What really impressed me was how quiet it is reaching boil. The down sides are the water measure on the back is very dark and hard to see how full it is. Taking the lid off to fill it wasn’t easy .. but holding it under the tap I loved the ease of holding it with its top handle as opposed to a side handle like I have had in the past. The other negative for me is the size .. it does take up a lot of bench space. For those of us with compact kitchens, space and appliances need to fit in them. For me this kettle was just a bit too big. If ur was the same shape but smaller I’d certainly buy this kettle .

I received this kettle from home tester club and Russel Hobbs in exchange for my review. I love the design of kettle and the light up switch. It's quick to boil and not too loud. It is easy to look dirty and fingerprints show up easily. It was a little cumbersome to fill with water. It is easy to pour the water out. I would recommend this kettle.

The Russell Hobbs Distinctions kettle is a fantastic kettle! It is super quiet, and has a little indicator light to show that it’s in boiling mode. The kettle also doesn’t spurt out water after boiling, or when rapid boiling! I found it was super easy to make a one-handed cup of tea (which is a definate requirement with kids around) thanks to the ergonomic handle. It also looks fantastic on the bench-top. I would recommend this kettle to anyone that likes a good cuppa!

The kettle is stylish with a practical design. Very light and not as solid as some kettles but it does the job and compliments my kitchen perfectly. I would recommend this product.
