I have used this product for a few years now, it works well for my dogs. I like not having it combined with heartworm medication, so that I can start flea and tick protection early. I have found the odd tick on them even with this on, which is why it’s 4/5 stars for me. But I will continue to use it.
This is my favorite product to use for flea and tick prevention for my dogs. The price is quite high which is a downfall especially because I have four dogs. But I love that it does not leave a greasy residue on fur.
Our large black labs tummy wouldn’t handle the oral tick and flea meds. I was afraid of him ending up with unwanted. We used Advantix and had no unwanted guests.
My English bulldog and I frequently hike in the woods near our house where there are plenty of ticks. The K9 Advantix is easy to administer and gives me such peace of mind while we are hiking!

Great against ticks
I have used this all the time for my dogs and the ticks fall off. No tick had bitten and stayed on my dogs since using this product.

Works great!
I have used this brand every year because I find it is easy to apply & very effective for keeping fleas and the dreaded ticks off my dogs. If your dogs are outside alot and do things like swimming and getting dirty I would suggest using it as often as recommended.
This is great for dogs having issues with taking oral prevention products. It’s easy to apply & very effective…it even repels the dreaded mosquitoes & biting flies! The tick prevention is essential for protecting your dog from tick diseases.
We live in the country, surrounded by forests. We have lots of ticks. Advantix will not stop the ticks from biting but it will stop them from feeding. They die almost instantly so it’s easy to remove them.
I’ve used this brand for a few years for tick management. I always found our dog would get ticks with in 10-12 days of applying the ointment. Our dog swims weekly in the summer and this contributes to the decline in effectiveness however for the price it should last longer. I would find 5 ticks at a time on our dog. Overall effectiveness isn’t reliable.
