L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Oil More than Shampoo

I was very excited to try out L’Oréal Paris Extraordinary Oil More than Shampoo. I gave never tried a shampoo quite like this one before, it is different than anything I have ever washed my hair with. First impressions were that the bottle was quite small but had a nice design. The shampoo is very thick, very similar to a thick conditioner. The smell wasn't my favourite smell as it was quite harsh but that smell wasn't present after washing. On the back of the bottle it says to start at the roots and massage it until you can get a foam. I found I needed quite a bit of the product on my hair before I could feel any sort of foaming. This isn't your typical shampoo so you aren't going to get that huge foaming action. Regardless, after rinsing it out my hair felt good and soft. I found my hair wasn't greasy but it wasn't any softer than using my regular brand. It was an interesting take on shampoo and I would probably try it again but on sale as it was a bit pricey for the amount.

So after using this shampoo I felt like it was just another generic attempt at creating a oil based shampoo. It wasn't highly moisturizing. And didn't clean as efficiently as hoped. The first day we used it there was spray in colour that washes out. Side by side with the L'Oreal kids shampoo my son's hair was still green where my daughters hair cleaned out perfectly. Its just not for us.

Upon first receiving this product I found it unclear if I would need to use conditioner. The back of the bottle didn't say either way so I've been using it without. After a few weeks of using the product I've found that it does clean and soften my hair however I'm also finding that my hair is more easily tangled? I enjoy the long-lasting pleasant smell of the product and I would recommend trying it out for yourself if given the opportunity. Its also nice not having to carry multiple bottles of shampoo/conditioner/hair masks in/out of the shower and this is a one-bottle treatment!

I thought it was too thick when foaming for my liking. I also had an allergic reaction to something in the product, which obviously affects my review.

I loved this shampoo. I usually have to use a conditioner in order to get my hair brushed out but with the detangler in this shampoo I didn’t need to use a conditioner and had no problem brushing my hair out.

I've only had the opportunity to use this shampoo once. It left my hair not feeling clean like most shampoos do. But it was very hydrating and helped create less frizz for my curly hair. I think it will work well for me.

My hair is very dry, especially in the winter. I expected after the first use to have my hair feeling softer as I’ve used other hair mask before. However, I did not feel the softness I expected. My hair still feels very dry after two uses

Overall the shampoo was ok. It smells good but I didn't find it added any more moisture than my regular shampoo. The oils in thr shampoo actually weighed down my fine hair and gave it little to no volume

I did not expect the richness of this shampoo and I was pleasantly surprised! It felt very luxurious and soft. I did enjoy this shampoo very much, however I did feel like it lacked the next step of conditioner. The shampoo itself was great and I will buy again

Smell was really nice, a little product goes a long way

I don't think this product did anything fantastic for my hair in the short time I've been using it. Perhaps better results could be seen if I had more time to try it. My hair seems the exact same as it did when using a different shampoo. One positive of this product is that it made my scalp not so dry. I noticed less flakes and less itch after using this. I know that's not the intended effect but it was the only difference I noticed.

The shampoo definitely added more moisture to my hair then a regular shampoo. I’m hoping with a few uses it take away some of the dryness in my hair.

My hair is thick and becomes quite dry and frizzy in the winter. The product was just the cure for my winter hair blues. While fragranced, the smell was not over powering and quite pleasant. The shampoo is quite thick and really coats your hair, but works into a nice foamy lather that spread well. Normally after using a shampoo my hair still feels quite rough, but my hair felt silky smooth after just using the shampoo. Personally, I still require a conditioner, but this shampoo left my hair soft and silky. This product offers the benefits of a hair mask in a simple shampoo form!

I wasnt sure what to expect with this product. I was excited to try it as my hair tangles very easily and i could definately use more softness. I would say it does what it says. My hair did still tangle a bit but nowhere near as much as it normally does and it definately felt softer
