Best bread out there with lots of options to vary it up a bit and healthy choices too.

Alan  [Hillcrest KN ] 3 Sep 10

I only buy Albany, great product with nice variety. The Low GI White bread is a wonderful addition. My kids love white bread and now I have a healthier option.

Theresia  [Bergbron GT ] 25 Aug 10

Yes very nice, my kids love this bread and complain when I buy something else, I do think that they should put it on a special every now and again, lower price.

Samantha  [Edgemead WC ] 23 Aug 10

Wessel  [Richards Bay KN ] 21 Aug 10

Last the longest of all breads. Love the taste.

Gerda  [Benmore GT ] 16 Aug 10

I love the low GI seeded loaf. And toasted, it tastes even better. Listening to the seeds pop while it's in the toaster makes my mouth water. mmm!

Liza   [Crystal Park Benoni GT ] 3 Jun 10

I only eat the brown Albany bread. Don't like the white

sumire  [Mayfair-West GT ] 2 Jun 10

a bit doughy and does not have a nice flavour becomes like cotton wool all gone wrong
Woolworths still has the best bread in their value brand

ramola  [westville KN ] 18 May 10

I love the bread, but can almost NEVER get it really fresh?
Which means I mostly buy the Sasko...

Kobus  [Westdene FS ] 17 May 10

I love the entire range of Albany. I love the colours, everything about this range. I buy Best of Both.

  [ WC ] 16 May 10

We don't buy white bread

Dominique  [Albertsdal GT ] 12 May 10

Love this bread, it stays fresh longer, tastes great and this company is doing something to help protect our enviroment, by using only biodegradable bags! Awesome job!

Leigh-Ann  [Wierda Park GT ] 11 May 10

I only buy Albany bread it stays fresh longer and the slices are bigger I use the wholewheat and white bread that has best of both and my kids enjoy only albany because it is so soft and tasty. Even though it costs more I will only buy this bread

Samantha  [Parklands WC ] 11 May 10

My kids love it, especially the new smooth wholewheat. My problem is that the school lunchboxes and standard size 'sandwich bags' are too small as the sanwiches are bigger when using this bread!

Lianne  [Plumstead WC ] 6 May 10

I think at the end of the day - Although a bit more expensive, this is the only bread I buy. And with them having 7 different breads - THAT'S AMAZING

Karin   [BLUFF, DURBAN KN ] 6 May 10

I would always buy this bread if it wasnt so expensive.

Elizabeth  [Robertson WC ] 29 Apr 10

It is reallly good, but a little expensive

Anna  [Hennenman FS ] 18 Apr 10

Albany is still on top of my list, love the brand.

Shaaista  [Lenasia south GT ] 10 Apr 10

My son always insists on Albany. He says the slices are bigger and it makes a decent size sandwhich...so Albany it is..

Ruth  [Simons Town WC ] 19 Feb 10

CHANTAL  [Fish Hoek WC ] 19 Feb 10

We loove the Wholewheat/seed bread- too delicious for words.

Kim  [Uvongo KN ] 16 Feb 10

nicolene  [richards bay KN ] 7 Jan 10

Very nice bread which I buy regularly. Fresh and with substance that satisfied. I do not use a lot of bread and I am very pleased to see that this bread keeps well in the fridge. An excellent product that I have no hesitation in recommeding - just wish there were more specials running on the price.

Elizabeth  [Robertson WC ] 4 Jan 10

We only eat the Albany brown bread, we do not purchase white bread.

  [ KN ] 16 Oct 09

My son likes the white Albany. cant get him to try anything else

natasha  [Tableview WC ] 14 Oct 09

I always buy the brown one - its so easy to find in the bright yellow packaging! Its healthy, lasts long, tastes great, and it doesnt always cost more. I havent tried the white, and wont (for health reasons only)

Nikki  [Cape Town WC ] 7 Oct 09

Albany bread is the best!!!

Joanita   [Polokwane LP ] 6 Oct 09

I normally by the wholewheat low gi from Albany, but haven't tried the white. I find white bread creates havoc on my stomach however the wholewheat Low GI is basically the only bread i buy. I love the seeds in them and it tastes GREAT

Abby  [Stellenbosch WC ] 29 Sep 09

Great bread!
It also stays fresh longer and the kids are not as hungry as quickly as with other breads.

shireen  [de la haye,Bellville WC ] 27 Sep 09

The bread is great as a single person I can buy it and freeze it and take out what I need and it is as fresh as the day I bought it . Love it

Ruth  [Simons Town WC ] 23 Sep 09

Absolutely love the soy and linseed white -hmmmm. The bread is always soft and fresh tasting with perfect slice sizes (lots of "alternative breads" come in smaller loaves which is impractical for men who also love the variety)

Candice  [Jukskeipark GT ] 21 Sep 09

Love this product - ALBANY is the best.

Lorette  [Krugersdorp GT ] 11 Sep 09

The only bread I believe in

Mumcy  [Gingindlovu KN ] 8 Sep 09

I'm not keen on any bread that lasts for days before going stale. It seems to bloat me. The Spar bread that is fresh today and stale tomorrow doesn't do that.

Gail  [Brackendowns GT ] 7 Sep 09

Love Albany, always fresh and the larger slices are great for the men!

Lee-ann  [Richwood WC ] 7 Sep 09

My kids love Albany Superior because it is always so fresh and stays longer.

Pravina   [PARK RYNIE  KN ] 4 Sep 09

we often buy this bread and have never been disappointed with it

Cyan  [Port Shepstone KN ] 2 Sep 09

Also only buy this bread. My family loves the low GI option and it lasts so much longer then any other brand!!

Sandy  [Henley on Klip GT ] 2 Sep 09

I do purchase Albany during the week, because it stays fresh. I just worry about all the preservative that go into the bread to keep it that fresh

collette  [randburg GT ] 2 Sep 09

I love the Albany Superior brand. Keeps very long. We have one loaf of bread a week, and this really lasts!

Tamryn  [Mondeor, JHB GT ] 2 Sep 09

Only bread I buy, it's always so fresh and oh so tasty. Very pricy but very yummy

Tennille  [Rynfield, Benoni GT ] 2 Sep 09

I never use to buy any brown bread. Since the new Albany brown I have not spent my money on any other brand, this is by far the best I have ever tasted and I get my points back on my vitality by buying this brand. You win all the way.

Michelle  [Tableview WC ] 21 Aug 09

Fantastic Bread. My whole family now eats the Albany low GI.

Kim  [Bluff KN ] 21 Aug 09

I will try this bread, bcos we always buy best of both and my child doesnt like bread at all.

Carol  [Greenstone Hill GT ] 21 Aug 09

Our children love Albany, especially the two in one, goodness of brown and looks like white

Lucienne  [Lynnwood Ridge GT ] 21 Aug 09

The white bread is lovely but albany needs 2 lower its price

sarah  [shallcross KN ] 18 Aug 09

I love the smell of Albany brown bread it is so fresh and easy to digest, it's easy to toast and i love bigger slices.

Mmantji  [280 Visagie Street Pretoria GT ] 13 Aug 09

I now always buy this bread. It keeps very well in the freezer and take out as I need.

Lorraine  [Glenwood, Durban KN ] 13 Aug 09

I love this bread as well. It's stays fresher for longer.

Colette  [Glenwood, Goodwood, Cape Town WC ] 11 Aug 09

Enjoy this bread but very rarely buy it as the price does not fit into my budget. Usually buy PnP bakery bread which is half the price.

Valerie  [Hamberg, Roodepoort GT ] 7 Aug 09

Albany is a very good bread, but why is it so much more expensive than the Sasko Low GI bread as I bought Sasko for almost two rand cheaper

Sharon  [Wilgeheuwel GT ] 6 Aug 09

As the mother of a diabetic child, the Low Gi bread is fantastic ! It was very difficullt to only be able to give her Seed Loaves, now I can let her have white bread as well.

INGRID  [EDGEMEAD WC ] 6 Aug 09

Albany is the only bread I buy. I find it stays fresh for longer.

Thelma  [Alberton GT ] 6 Aug 09

The low GI bread is the best, even if you are not on a low GI diet. Love the taste. Better than regular white. A little too expensive.

Yvette  [Rooihuiskraal Centurion GT ] 5 Aug 09

The texture of the bread is excellent! I love the brown especially plus it stays fresh longer than other brands.

Tafadzwa  [Cape Town WC ] 5 Aug 09

I have just used a cheap brand of bread to make toast. How disapponting. Albany may be more expensive but it freezers well and makes fantastic toast

cheryl  [athlone pietermaritzburg KN ] 3 Aug 09

The Low GI bread is wonderful as I am on a low GI diet - guilt-free pleasure :)

Debra  [Kabega Park, Port Elizabeth EC ] 3 Aug 09

Albany is my husband's prefered choice of bread. Since it is more expensive than other brands, it tends to be a special treat for him.

Ashley  [Pinelands WC ] 1 Aug 09

I have been using Albany Low GI for about a year! I love the taste of it, and even my 3 year old prefers it over white bread as that is all she's ever had.
Last long too:)

Annalize  [Fairland GT ] 29 Jul 09

yes albany is perfect for making school lunches,an is a favourite for toasts.it is always fresh the next day.but it is a bit pricey.

salma  [emmarentia GT ] 29 Jul 09

Now this is definitally the best that you can buy, a little on the expensive side but you cannot ask for better, quality included

Moira Anne Ella  [Woodlands GT ] 24 Jul 09

I ALWAYS BUY BREAD WITH BIGGER SLICES FOR MAKING TOAST
LINDA MULLER
BOKSBURG

linda  [ ] 23 Jul 09

Not sure what the difference is a it seems like all white bread taste the same and not as nutritious as brown or rye bread.

Audra  [Parktown North GT ] 22 Jul 09

A nice prioduct, but also takes like nothing, especially since we have been buying the country loaf. This product also gives my husband heartburn.

Kim  [Clareinch WC ] 15 Jul 09

Great product its the only one I buy

Samantha  [Boskruin GT ] 15 Jul 09

I only buy Albany, yellow, brown and blue

Bridget  [Westville KN ] 13 Jul 09

As a single male, I have been using this to make my daily lunches since I started my working life last year. This is a weekly staple in my house. It also lasts very long, I can buy a loaf on sunday and eat on soft bread till friday. My only complaint is that I can never find a "good" best before date for the loafes on a sunday (which is when i buy my lunch ingredients for the week)

Braam  [Royal Ascot, Cape Town WC ] 8 Jul 09

It suits our lifestyle 100%. Love the taste and freshness and the feeling of fullness.

Kim  [Bluff KN ] 3 Jul 09

I only buy this bread, much healthier option and stays fresh for much longer. All the Albany breads

I agree

Sally  [DURBAN KN ] 3 Jul 09

I find that Albany lasts much longer that any other type of bread. In the rare event that it is not finished in two days, I have found that if stays fresh for up to a week.

Marita  [Pretoria  GT ] 3 Jul 09

Albany is definitely the bread of choice in our household. Tastes fresh & bread has light texture.

Jannette  [Outer West area KN ] 1 Jul 09

I only buy this bread, much healthier option and stays fresh for much longer. All the Albany breads are the best as they are the softest and freshest available.

Cheri-Ann  [Prestondale Umhlanga Rocks KN ] 29 Jun 09

It's so good I've even forgotten that there's other types of bread outh there.

i lke the slices it nice and fullfill

emerelda  [cape town WC ] 24 Jun 09

I have been using the low gi bread for ages, won't buy anything else and find it seems very popular as it is sometimes not available at the retailers

Liesl  [tygervalley WC ] 24 Jun 09

Not into Whit bread in general, buut the low GI has definitley changed this for me. Love health and energy sustaining food...

Elisha  [Roodepoort GT ] 24 Jun 09

Albany Bread IS THE ONLY BREAD I BUY FOR THE FAMILY! Especially the low GI Wholewheat Bread. Lasts longer, nice size and stays fresh

Karin   [BLUFF, DURBAN KN ] 23 Jun 09

Am I the only person who thinks that the Albany breads are awful!! If I wanted to eat airy cake that is what I would eat. Albany breads have no "Body" more air than anything else.

Denise  [Freeway Park GT ] 15 Jun 09

I have been buying the Albany (green) and i cannot seem to resist buying it. The fibre helps somehow with metabolism and i noted that the freshness is longer as compared to the others. This is one hi-fibre i can recommend.

The problem it is a bit expensive and not available at all times.

Matshidiso  [Sunnyside GT ] 6 Jun 09

This is a great product. But also not available here in breyten.

CindyJ(Breyten)

cindy  [Middedlburg MP ] 5 Jun 09

I buy Albany (Green & Blue bags) - great bread that freezes very well, cutting down on trips to the shops and potential 'impulse' buys.

Lesley  [Durban North KN ] 4 Jun 09

Not really into the low GI brand but prefer the Best of both rather

Dharshana Reshma   [SPRINGS GT ] 2 Jun 09

My husband is diabetic, and the low gi is the best bread to buy. Even the kids feel fuller for longer. Albany is always fresh and a great tasting bread

MARIA  [KRUGERSDORP WEST GT ] 2 Jun 09

Still the bset bread to buy value for money- Strays fresh for ever

Leonie  [Yellowwoodpark Durban KN ] 1 Jun 09

The low GI bread is awesome and even my kids enjoy it. Also stays fresher than any other brand of bread.

corinne  [cyrildene GT ] 1 Jun 09

Love this bread and always buy it for our office. It toasts beautifully and stays fresh for extended period of time. Definately a thumbs-up!

Wendy  [Plattekloof / Parow WC ] 14 May 09

only buy the blue one but will try this if i see it on the racks

harriet   [lanseria GT ] 13 May 09

I only buy the light blue bag - it is quite simply awesome!! Even my toddler loves this bread and this is a first for her even wanting the crusts to be left on.

I love the Low GI yellow bread. Its all I buy every week. It keeps me full for longer and making my

Also the Albany breads seem to provide the most surface area for your rand (i.e more bites for your rand).

Braam  [Royal Ascot, Cape Town WC ] 1 May 09

I love the Low GI yellow bread. Its all I buy every week. It keeps me full for longer and making my own daily sandwiches for with this saves me well over 100 rand each week. If only more people packed their own lunch.

Braam  [Royal Ascot, Cape Town WC ] 1 May 09

Low GI -- happy to see it. My family likes other varieties of Albany bread, but I usually can't eat them because I watch carbs. I've tried other low GI breads, but they were very dense. This is a nice balance.

Lisa  [Strand WC ] 17 Apr 09
