yolanda  [east london EC ] 17 Aug 10

I add this to my pasta and mince...always a hit :)

Natalie  [Pretoria GT ] 8 Aug 10

Rennette  [Cape Town WC ] 8 Aug 10

the original tomato paste is great the glass bottle one has not been on the shelf for months the tin

I have not been able to get the bottle either, why have they stopped producing it? I find it inconvenient to buy the tin.

Jennifer  [Sunward Park, BOKSBURG, 1470 GT ] 2 Jul 10

I love the beef flavour.

Vanessa  [Nelspruit MP ] 22 Jun 10

I don't like the new flavours. I am sticking with plain tomato paste. Do love the original

sumire  [Mayfair-West GT ] 2 Jun 10

Well, I have always used Koo tomato paste but have one comment about these new ones. The Beef flavor made my mince taste like mutton. I discontinued using it.

Ernest  [ Ezulwini - Swaziland MP ] 2 Jun 10

Great product; especially when used in lasagne or bolognaise.

Vanessa  [Pretoria GT ] 30 May 10

the original tomato paste is great the glass bottle one has not been on the shelf for months the tins are fine but one has to use the entire tin where the bottle one can keep in the fridge

ramola  [westville KN ] 18 May 10

I love the original tomato paste, but do not know the new flavours. Would love to try them. Depending on the recipe, I find sachets and tins equally satisfying.

Rietha  [Kakamas NC ] 29 Apr 10

I bought this product once to test with my home made Mac and cheese. My husband LOVED it!

Clarisse  [Groenkloof GT ] 7 Apr 10

I only use Koo Tomato Paste. Always a few in my grocery cupboard.

Dianne  [Durbanville WC ] 7 Apr 10

Good product to use. i love lavender.

Charlotte  [Roodepoort GT ] 31 Mar 10

I prefer the little puree sachets... seems to be more eco friendly than a metal can for such a little portion

Mandy  [Hout Bay WC ] 20 Feb 10

Very good. Always have it in my cupboard.

Lynn  [Pinetown KN ] 19 Feb 10

I use this product regulary and am never without a tin it is great to use in a selection of dishes. It thickens and gives great flavour to dishes.

Ruth  [Simons Town WC ] 19 Feb 10

CHANTAL  [Fish Hoek WC ] 19 Feb 10

I love the new flavoured tomatoe paste, I would never have known about it had it not been for the home tester club. Thanks

Kim  [Uvongo KN ] 16 Feb 10

never used it before, but would like to try it

Bongiwe  [Durban KN ] 11 Jan 10

I've started to read labels and try to avoid excess colourants, msg and artificial sweeteners (aspertame, sodium cyclamate) and generally anything that's claim to fame is being "light".

I don't buy Koo products since they started adding colourants to peas etc. I also noted that their tomato paste has added msg, I know msg is a natural product of tomatoes but adding more seems like a bit too much.

Barco   [Tweespruit FS ] 6 Jan 10

The only Tomato i love is the plain to be honest - i don't like the added flavours as it does not mix well with my indian spices. Maybe it's just me ;)

sumire  [Mayfair-West GT ] 15 Nov 09

Both DH and I hated the beef taste! Even the kids too.

Lize  [Noordheuwel x4 GT ] 11 Nov 09

I cannot cook without my paste, I've tried the beef in a soup this week-end and it was delicious

Never used before

Luzenn   [Mamre, Cape Town WC ] 14 Oct 09

I am a lover of pasta, and fresh tomatoes is pricey, so it works out cheaper to buy in a tamatoe paste in a tin. Have not tried the curry flavour,? sounds interesting...

natasha  [Tableview WC ] 14 Oct 09

I love this product. I really gives that something extra special in pasta's and stews. It is a must on my shopping list every month

Abby  [Stellenbosch WC ] 29 Sep 09

Great Product for many home cooked meals. Instead of adding sugar add a grated carrot and it brings out the best in the meal.

Ruth  [Simons Town WC ] 23 Sep 09

I like it. But you have to put in a dash of sugar. Don't know why but it tates beteer after a dash of sugar. Don't know abot the garlic one though because i am allergic to garlic.

Jo-Anne  [Wellington WC ] 30 Jul 09

Love the new flavours.

Dina  [Durbanville WC ] 29 Jul 09

I bought the the Koo tomato paste wih garlic last month, but my hubby said he prefers the plain one - I agree about the self opening lid though as the tin opener does not open those little cans too well - or a sachet would be great too

Kerrie  [Somerset West WC ] 27 Jul 09

will have to try it! seems its getting rave reviews!

abbi  [Somerset West, Cape Town WC ] 24 Jul 09

Always on my grocery list. Although, I prefer buying the sachets.

Love this product

Silvana  [Townsview/Johannesburg GT ] 20 Jul 09

I have not tried this particular product, but will add it to my shopping list as I always cook with garlic and I use beef stock cubes or a spoon of curry powder. Great idea!

Debbie  [Durban GT ] 20 Jul 09

I have not tried this particular Koo product as yet, but I think that it is about time that someone thought of adding these exciting flavours to the usual tomato paste. Well done. Will add to my shopping list.

Colleen  [Heidelberg GT ] 20 Jul 09

i havent tried this KOO product yet.

Rochelle  [Amanzimtoti KN ] 20 Jul 09

Although I usually use paste and add my own ingredients, I do like this innovation, especialy as we like to camp a lot and this saves the packing space. I did enjoy the taste of the beef falvour and wil try the others in future.

Please seal the can with a self opening lid (one that you pull open with you finger), so that you do

I really agree with this request, a self opening lid will be great!!

Esmè  [Orange Grove GT ] 13 Jul 09

This is convenient and will add it to my shopping list, especially good when you don't have the ingredients in the house, taste is also good.

Esmè  [Orange Grove GT ] 13 Jul 09

The new product is good but please ask KOO when are they going to ditch thoses small tins in favour of sachets.?We all know the price of tinned goods has risen due to the price of metal that is used.I nearly always buy All Gold as I prefer the sachets, they are about half the price and easy to store

linda  [edgemead GT ] 13 Jul 09

I think it is really so easy especially when you are a working woman. If you feel like cooking something quickly it is so ideal to use.

Jolande Karen  [Newlands West KN ] 13 Jul 09

Koo Tomato Paste makes the best Lasagne sauce!
You all have to give it a try...i do add quite a bit of sugar to give the sweet / sour taste - but its wonderful!

Cindy  [Strand WC ] 13 Jul 09

Wonderful invention for a caravan cupboard to spice up food when space for umpteen spices is limited.

Linda  [Lynnwood Ridge GT ] 11 Jul 09

Always a great product to have in your cupboard for emergencies. Good in lamb stews. Does not make the stew sour - only adds flavour.

Lourentia  [Kyalami GT ] 10 Jul 09

Great, Koo is always the best you can do...

Roxxy  [Kuilsriver WC ] 8 Jul 09

I dont know the flavoured tomatoe paste but the orginal one's works fantastic when you make curry

I also use the original and have done for about 30 years, it is great in a lasangne and to add to pasta, and great to have it in the cupboard readily available.

This month i tried the Garlic Flavour and it does wonders to my stews.Absolutely a marvellous idea.

Lisa   [Retreat WC ] 19 May 09

Please seal the can with a self opening lid (one that you pull open with you finger), so that you don't have to use a can opener on it. It is a very small can and it can be a dangerous in the kitchen when you are struggling to cut it open.
