I really like the John Frieda Violet Crush Purple Toning Mask. It is easy to apply and shows results after just one use! I use it in place of my conditioner about once a week. It takes away the brassiness of my hair and lightens/brightens my highlights. A little goes a long way.

Great results!
I have used several toning shampoos and conditioners over the years with some lacking results and some lacking a desirable smell. John Friedas' toning mask has checked all the boxes for me! The smell is great and what you would expect from a good "purple" shampoo. Its lighter in color but gives a great result in a short time. It leaves my hair feeling conditioned and manageable. I continue to incorporate this toning mask and my other hair products into my my daily routine.

Brassy no MORE!
I have been doing my own color since Covid and it has really taken a toll on my overall hair color. John Frieda's Violet Crush has revitalized my hair without harsh processing chemicals! I have used it a few times and my color has lightened and brightened each time. I am going to continue using Violet Crush because it's simply the most therapeutic, nourishing, brightening mask I have ever used.

Salon quality for less than salon price

Moisturizing
I liked this product because is 2 in 1, you get the conditioning you need and you maintain your blonde fresh. But I think it would be better to try the whole set instead of just this to have a complete result.

LOVED IT!

I really needed this!
I have color-treated hair, and really, I mean I have bleached hair. I had my hair bleached to a balayage, and it definitely needed some toning. I applied this mask in the shower last night and noticed that it was a LOT lighter than my purple/toning shampoo & conditioner set. That’s fine, and I imagine that’s because it’s supposed to sit longer than those products on the hair. I also noticed, though, that this product is not rich and buttery like a hair mask should be, in my opinion. It wasn’t very conditioning. So I think it’s main purpose is to tone. I would like to see how it is to mix this with another hair mask to get the toning effect still, but with the more conditioning effects, as well. I would purchase this again, though, to keep up with toning my hair & because it is inexpensive.

Good product
Since I received this complimentary for my review, I think the product would have worked better if it were to be used after the purple shampoo that goes along with it, which I didn’t get to try. I also didn’t find it very hydrating, so I followed it with a conditioner. I let it sit in my hair for 3 minutes and I was happy to see it didn’t turn my hair blue or silver like other similar products have done in the past. I do think my blonde highlights were brighter after using. I used it two washes in a row and my hair isn’t brassy at all.

Leaves hair very soft
After using the product the first time my hair was left feeling soft but I was disappointed in the toning result. I decided I would try a couple more uses since the instructions say to repeat as needed until desired toning result. After 2 more uses I have come to the conclusion that it works well for softening and hydrating your hair but just doesn't have enough toner to get the results necessary for just after bleaching hair. It would be best used as a hydrating mask and possibly for upkeep of toning but only after using a regular toner. The instructions also mention that it should be used in conjunction with the purple shampoo and conditioner which I did not have but I did use my own. Overall great hair mask just not for toning unless you tone your hair first.

Effective at removing brassiness.
John Frieda is my go to brand to keep my blonde hair looking salon like quality. I use it for very long time , it is affordable and it keeps their claims true. I always gets compliments on my hair. I am glad to discover this new product and have in my routine.
