while it was well made, it doesn't have any functions or do anything that I could not do on my phone, using a calculator function

Works perfectly as expected. Great for simple calculations around the house.

I like the bigger and softer buttons. I also like the bigger digits. Easy to see even if you normally wear eye glasses. Fits in your shirt pocket or purse. It is solar and work no matter how little light there is. Has a button to turn it off. Easy to clean. Handles almost all math problems. Good for school or home. Good for the office or even a contractor on the job. Worth buying.

The Pen+Gear 8 digit calculator is a simple calculator to use for not always simple calculations. The keys are large enough for me to see well, I wear glasses, as well as to press with my naturally long nails. I also liked the handy little instruction sheet that came with the calculator so I could test it out.

I received a Calculator in the mail and it’s definitely nice to have around when I need to use it to add some numbers together for a project or paying my bills for the month! I always used my phone before but it’s nice to have this hand held calculator with me at all times! I actually keep it in my purse and it’s come in handy several times! It’s small and just a simple device that’s not too complicated to use! So this definitely is worth having and will be used!

This Pen + Gear 8 Digit Handheld Calculator works perfectly fine. The calculations are great. The downside is that the calculator is very cheaply made. The buttons are extremely loose. They feel as if I could just pull them out. Anytime I use the calculator, the keys seem to change directions. It is not pleasant on the eyes when the keys always seem crooked. This is not a calculator I would buy.

The calculator itself works really good. Love the solar powered battery and it is small and compact and can easily fit into a purse or bag and take on the go. Numbers can be easily read. However this is a basic simple calculator for a 1st grader. I would only use this if I couldn't get to my phone calculator. It just doesn't have enough functions on it for me to repurchase.

Pen + Gear's 8 Digit Handheld Calculator is a fine choice if you need a small calculator. It is small, which is good for fitting it into a purse or a pocket, and makes it very "handholdable" (as a handheld calculator ought to be). However, that smaller size also means smaller buttons. While I have no trouble using them, people with large hands or fingers might have difficulty using this calculator with dependable accuracy. On the other hand, I think the design of this calculator overall is best suited to children, so maybe that's not a problem. The buttons are made of a very soft silicone, I think, and they match the color of the body of the device, which is pink. VERY PINK. I can't see many adults choosing that color. The calculator is solar-powered, which is good, and of course, it functions accurately (I assume). The digital display is large enough and easy to read. It's a fine calculator if you need a calculator!

This is the basic dollar store version. It likely will not last long. The construction is minimal. But if you need a disposable calculator then this ones is fine for that ourpose.

I tried the Pen+Gear 8 digit calculator and it is a really good basic calculator. It does everything I need it to do. I can figure my check book, my bills, or anything else that I may need to calculate. It includes functions like percentages, multiplication, square roots, add, and subtraction. It is solar powered so need for batteries. It would be great for home, school, or work.

It is a great little calculator for your purse. The only thing I didn't like of it, was the small screen.

It was super tiny and extremely cheap. I might well have gotten it from the dollar store.
