Breville Combi Wave™ 3 in 1 Microwave

I had never considered making dessert in a microwave before so when I saw the recipe I was hesitant. I made 2 batches of the cake mix and popped one in my oven and the other in the combiwave. The results were almost identical. Apart from a slight uncooked part in the middle, which would have been amended with a longer cooking time they were perfect! I compared the roast chicken with lemon, thyme and garlic recipe as well. Apart from being a little less browned than the oven, it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was more succulent and tastier than the oven cooked chicken. I would definitely cook it in the combiwave again. I also tried the air-dried chips with aoili, but I wasn't impressed. However, I think this was my fault as the recipe did say to use Sebago potatoes which I couldn't find anywhere so I had to substitute and the result wasn't great. I'll try again when I can find some sebagos. Overall, after being initially pessimistic - I was very impressed with the combiwave!

I was amazed how easy it is to use the CombiWave, there are a lot of options that have already been pre-programmed which makes it so much easier to use. I have never considered baking or making a desert in the microwave, but it has been so easy to use and the results are incredible. I have been using it to make pies and cake on weekly bases. I have been wanting to purchase an air fryer, but having an option having it in one thing as oven and microwave is fantastic. Chips never tasted better and my kids absolutely love them and ask them to make it nearly every day. And it’s good to know that it is much healthier option than oil frying. I have also made a roast chicken and the results were great, it was cooked thorough and tasted amazing. It took 1.5 hours altogether (prep and cooking) for an amazing Sunday roast chicken. I absolutely love my Combi Wave so it’s functionality and sleek design.

I doubted that one appliance would be able to replace so many others in my kitchen. After using the different functions of the Breville Combi Wave 3 in 1, I no longer need my stand alone airfryer, grill, oven or microwave. I love airfrying food, I really didnt think the Breville Combi Wave 3 in 1 would be as good as an airfryer, truth is , it is so much better. Chips came out crunchy and so flavoursome. Clean up was so easy. I am very traditional with baking so have never been willing to try desserts in a microwave. Now i've been making desserts every day using the Breville. Its so nice to make easy, fresh and delicious desserts for the family in a quarter of the time and effort. I am amazed at how well everything turns out. I make a roast dinner every week for my family, i avoid chicken as i find it always comes out dry. Not now, the Breville Combiwave roast chicken came out flavoursome and moist. I am surprised that one appliance can do so much, i definitely cant live without it now.

I was not completely sure about using a microwave other than to heat and defrost my food. I was a little sceptical but I thought it can't hurt to try. The chicken recipe I made was simple to make and was with little effort which I was pleased about. The chicken did cook well however the skin on the chicken was not as crispy as it would normally be in the oven and just didn't have the right texture. Other than that I was happy with the result and very surprised. The Air fries were delicious and I will definitely be making them a couple of times a week, especially with that peppercorn sauce. I also love making the apple cinnamon butter cake and it tastes great. Very easy to make using the microwave. Overall I think the microwave is great to use for cooking and all other uses that you'd normally need for a family. I did enjoy using and I'd I'll definitely use it more for cooking now. Highly recommended

Previously I would never have attempted an actual cake but this microwave has changed my mind I made an apple cinnamon tea cake and it was AMAZING light and moist and golden brown on top it was absolutely delicious. Next I tried the air fryer function and made delicious crispy chips from scratch and wow they were spectacular easy to make and the results were great miles ahead of anything I’ve cooked in an oven. And speaking of ovens I don’t know that I’ll bother cooking a chook in mine again when this magnificent microwave can roast actually roast a chicken just as well if not better the chicken was beautifully cooked and juicy with yummy golden crispy skin. I would never ever have believed a microwave could do this if I hadn’t seen it with my own eyes

I loved the product, I have never been confident enough to cook a meal in my microwave so was going into this with doubts but I am blown away the results are great, The cake was delicious and so easy to make in the microwave oven, the butter softening button is so good, the butter was the perfect softness when usually It melts too fast, the cake was moist and cooked golden which I was not expecting! While I like the airfry option I think it takes a long time to cook things so was very similar to using the oven option, my fries turned out golden and crispy but needed 35mins so I was expecting the airfry to be faster results. The soft close door is great especially when my kids are using it, I loved the crisping pan, it's a great addition it makes everything nice and crunchy, The grill option is great my kids made grilled cheese toast and it was perfectly melted and they were able to do it all on their own

Overall the Breville Combi Wave™ 3 in 1 Microwave looked great! I’ve never made a cake in a microwave before so was really impressed with the Apple Cinnamon Butter cake. The process was quick and easy and it came out really moist. The air fry function was fair. My potato chips came out a little dry and I found that I had to cook it for a little longer than the suggested time. We ended up spraying the chips with oil before putting it in the Combi Wave for that extra crunch. The oven function was great! I cooked a whole chicken and it tastes very good. If the chicken was a little bigger it would have not fit inside. I like the oven function the best as it didn’t take long at all to preheat compared to my normal convection oven. My experience was good. I would not go out of my way to purchase this product as I found it was used more of a microwave than an air fry.

I’ve never cooked desert in the microwave before, what a great result! I love the air fryer option, so much healthier without the oil of deep frying. And my roast chicken turned out beautiful and tender.

I have loved trying out all the different settings this microwave has to offer. I never cooked a cake in a microwave before and it came out perfect! The Apple Cinnamon Butter Cake was a lovely moist cake and cooked in just over 50 minutes. The air fry function was great for making fries from scratch however it took a bit of getting used to and a few attempts changing timing and amount of fries to get it right, its something I will continue to use as a much healthier option than a deep fryer and I prefer the taste. I was able to roast a chicken with no hassle at all. The chicken which was larger than the recipe had called for and also larger than the 1.6kg limit on the setting cooked in the time set for a 1.6kg chicken and was crisp on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside in 1 5hrs . I did make the mistake of adding extra time for one chicken and it ended up overcooked but the other was perfect. Will definitely continue using and trialing recipes.

I have been unable to complete the dessert recipe as my turntable plate cracked while I was making a roast. I have never used an air fryer and I didn’t find that this oven cooked chips any better or faster than the regular oven. I am trying out a few different things to see if it is something useful. The chicken cooked quickly and the skin was crispy but the meat was a bit dry. As mentioned before, the turn table glass cracked in half while I was cooking a pork roast? I am not sure how as I was cooking in a Pyrex glass roast pan and had the turn table function “off” , I am unsure how to get a replacement part?

Extremely satisfied!, The soft-closing door feature is outstanding, and the size is just right. Food cooked using the air fryer were perfect. Love how the function buttons and screen light up when you open the door, making it easy to use the two control dials. Although it will take me some time to fully understand all the functions, the user guide booklet that comes with it is very user-friendly and in English, which is a big plus. I also tried baking a cake using the oven mode. I initially used my usual cooking time and temperature, but it turned out a bit dry. The only challenge I've encountered so far is that I can't seem to get the grill hot enough to brown food, but that might my inexperience as I'm still learning how to use it.

I bought this product about a year ago and swear by it, it’s super easy to use. Your food comes out perfect every time, it has a sleek look and fits nicely on my kitchen bench.

To gain back some kitchen bench space, we decided to get this 3 in 1 and get rid of our microwave & air fryer. This does it all, microwave, air fry and is also an oven! You can make anything in this thing and it cooks fast! My photo shows us cooking some potato bake. 30mins and it was PERFECT! Didn't even need to pre-cook the potatoes. We've also made cupcake, noodles, nuggets and a roast in here and it was all so easy, even for me who is not someone who loves to cook. This cuts down so much cooking time & love having gained back more precious bench space!
