The smart functions for fast reheat are intuitive and easy to use. I would give it 5 stars except the finger prints take a small amount of effort to clean from external silver aspects of the design! Obviously this is aesthetic only! I would never revert back to any other type of microwave - this is the future of microwaves in a very neat, clean and easy to use package. Highly recommended to others to enjoy!

The Breville Smooth Wave is simple to operate. The buttons for all the various settings are intuitive, the dial is easy to use, including timer extension. The Door is soft closing, meaning it doesnt make a noise in the middle of the night - can your even able to silent the bell! - something i have never done on a microwave before. The silver finish fits in with the kitchen and simple features such as butter melting makes sure you have no more butter explosions and clean up that i have had to do in previous microwaves. The soften/melt features are great and simple to use - with butter, chocolate for all your favourite baking goods.

Easy to use. Great soft close door and easy function. Element IQ is spot on! So much ‘smarter’ than our existing microwave (which is only 2 years old). Short cuts are easy to understand and use...and really do save time. It makes meal times (especially with kids) a lot easier. Very quiet when on. Beeping sound is pleasant!

This is the quietest microwave I have ever used! It amazes me just how quiet it is! And with a toddler in the house, having a quiet microwave is brilliant! I also love how you can turn the beeps off. That is such a great addition. The soft close door takes a bit to get used to. I keep thinking I haven't closed it properly! I love the auto reheat button. I didnt trust it at first and kept checking, but it knew when it was hot enough! I also really like the dials and how easy it is to change the power percentage. Just a simple turn of the dial! It cooks meals really well, it cooked meat well, without drying it out! Cooks vegetables like it should. I also like that it has a beverage reheat option! Perfect for busy mums who never get to have a hot drink when they are first made! I also like the 'a bit more' button, which as its names suggests, just adds a bit more, which is fantastic for melting butter.

Firstly Element IQ technology is amazing how it adjusts and monitors heat distribution to where it’s needed most. After cooking and reheating several meals I’ve found it has gently reheated food evenly and thoroughly. It takes a lot of the guess work out of ensuring food is cooked or reheated to the right temperature. I love that all one has to do is select the type of food using the smart cook/defrost button and the weight. The smart reheat is fabulous as I literally put food in and press start! I reheat my dog’s cooked meals nightly. At times I could hear crackling but every time it’s been perfectly heated. The short cuts are fabulous! Melting chocolate, softening butter, heating pizza, even reheating coffee to mention a few at the touch of a button is a definite time saver. As a busy mum it’s a massive perk to adjust the sound types and volume! No startling noises for my baby. The soft door close is fabulous for the same reason. My old microwave was so noisy in comparison!

I love that you can mute the noise and not have a beeping finish noise go off in the middle of the night. The soft close door is amazing, when you swing the door closed and walk away you don't have to walk back to make sure that it has closed. That has saved me many a return trips. The Element IQ technology is perfection. Heats up pizza slices to the perfect temperature.

The Breville Smooth Wave Microwave is certainly one to be considered when purchasing a microwave. The handy quick start menu is just that, super handy! No second guessing time when you’re trying to reheat that coffee you never got to whilst attending to children and washing as we do! I know my food is being reheated and cooked to the right temperature each time with the Element IQ Technology with no burnt or overheated rubber food! The soft close door was an impressive inclusion and one I’ve never had before on any microwave I’ve owned!

I was really keen to try this Breville Smooth Wave, as I was attracted to all the different functions it has that promises to make my life easier and I must say, I was not disappointed! The soft close door is amazing, and effortless, as you don't have to slam or push it shut, it literally closes itself! It truly is quiet when it is operating, for example, you can still hear the TV when it's on. The smart functions are really quick and easy to use and I have found the Smart Reheat the most useful. I love that it detects when my food has been reheated appropriately and I don't have to set a time or keep checking; when it's done, it's done. That said, it does overheat the food at times, so erring on the side of caution is advised. The Element IQ technology is really interesting. It perfectly melted my butter so it was just right for my baking, but I found it was too hot for things like defrosting chicken or cooking oats. Overall, however, I would highly recommend this machine!

I have really enjoy using this Breville Smooth Wave microwave. The element IQ technology seems to work really and I like how I don't have to select cooking times and power levels! I much prefer using knobs instead of buttons and the display screen is nice and big and effortless to read. The smart functions and shortcuts are a bonus. I find myself using the popcorn, beverage, pizza and soften butter shortcuts a lot (I still don't know how they can take my butter from my fridge and turn it into "overnight soft" without melting it is amazing!") This is by far the quietest microwave I ever used and having a soft close door definitely adds to the quality of the machine. I use this machine every day and it makes microwaving fun and the machine itself is lovely to look at!

Not big enough for two trays of chips but large enough for a whole chicken

Firstly the stainless steel design caught my eye of the Breville smooth wave microwave then the added features of precision cooking, defrosting and reheating makes this my new favorite toy. I use it for everything now not just reheating my meals. My food is coming out evenly heated so I don't have to stand there and press heat on and off like my old microwave did and my food comes out tasting delicious not dry or overcooked or even undercooked. It has 15 input presets which is fantastic and the door open and closes without too much noise. I think it's worth it's price tag and definitely a keeper.

The first time I used this, I wasn't sure if it was even running. It was so quiet, but it definitely did the job efficiently. It's such a sleek design and easy to use. Wish I'd bought it sooner!

A well-designed product that contains a large screen so you can read it easily. Great features with simple-to-use dials to select what you want it to do. Looks elegant and is also easy to clean if you make a mess.
