Gillette Venus Platinum Extra Smooth Razor

Glides smoothly over skin & leaves a smooth underarm ,yet to see if blade cartridge stays in but only time will tell.I have had trouble previuosly with this falling out & smashing on the shower floor dispite being securely in razor

Good handle grip in the shower. Smooth results and lasted longer. Didn't have to shave as often. I like the product, I have used Gillette Venus previously but not the platinum model. Will likely continue to use this upgraded razor.

So smooth and with all those blades seems no effort to shave at all.

Feels great in hand, not flimsy. Nice smooth shave, no nicks. Skin feels soft after shaving. Great product.

The product is packaged beautifully & I was quite excited to get to test what seemed like the Rolls Royce of razor blades, however the build up was wasted. Even though the razor has a perfectly designed rubber grip handle & perfect swivel action, to make shaving cream easier, I found that the 5 blades were no match to my thick/ coarse hair. I tested shaving both leg & underarm hair & had the same outcome. My skin was not smooth to the touch directly after shaving , & actually felt as if I had already started growing stubble (which usually only occurs a few days after a shave). I tried again on the third day for a maintenance shave & found the results to be the same. Disappointingly, the blades do not seem to be designed for thick/course hair & would probably work better on those who have fine hair

As a user of the original Gillette Venus I thought how could they improve on this! Well, I couldn't have been more wrong! This razor is amazing. The metal ergonomic handle is amazing and weighted perfectly. It fits like a glove in your hand and glides effortlessly over skin for the most amazingly smooth shave ever! I couldn't believe it. As a sufferer of chronic pain and osteo-arthritis shaving my legs and underarms is a chore but not anymore. Thank you Gillette for a stress and pain free way to shave and a smooth shave that lasts much longer than my original Venus!!!

Great gliding effect and super smooth on the skin, shave lasted longer than other razors

The handle is heavy and great quality but the head is a little big. Makes it hard to get around certain areas.

This razor gives you the feel of holding a quality razor - I loved the weighty feel of the handle and the shaving blades were great - such a close shave and left a moisturizing feel

The packaging was easy to open with the perforation, no scissors needed. The metal handle has a nice weight to it and the rubber grips are in good spots. The cartridge was easy to affix and has a firm hold, although the click was soft to hear. Having all the Venus cartridges fit the handle is great if you like the soap heads better. The shave was nice and smooth, but a new blade always feels good at the start. Being mindful of reducing waste I appreciate the sturdy metal handle and want to use it for many years to come, I just hope the blade heads are made for a long time to come as well.

Works very well without irritating your skin. Definately liked the way it was smooth against skin.

Easy to use, and a great smooth finish. The razors are a great price.

I really enjoyed using this razor, with its five blades it gave a smooth shave the first time, with some razors I have had to go back over the same place as they didn't get all the hair the first time. The handle was easy to grip and I also like the fact that the one handle fits most of the Venus blades, also it was very easy to attach the blade to the handle. I would recommend this razor and shall be replacing my previous brand with this.
