Neutrogena Purifying Boost Clay Mask

The size of the Neutrogena Purifying Boost Clay Mask is very handy when I travel for work and want to pamper myself. This mask was incredibly easy to apply, felt amazing on my skin, washed off easily, and left my skin feeling smooth and full of life. It gave my skin a much needed deep cleanse.

This Neutrogena Purifying Boost Clay Mask is great for those with oily skin in my opinion. The clay mask is a mint colour and a creamy thick consistency, which applies on quite easily. There is a mild scent which I find pleasant, and it is definitely not overpowering compared to other similiar clay masks I have tried. It's recommended that an even layer be applied to a damp face and left on for 10-30mins. I find that the mask dries pretty quickly on the skin and you can feel the tightening effect as the mask dries. It can feel a little uncomfortable so I wouldn’t leave it on for longer than 15mins. Washing it off requires a bit of effort and I find using a wet face cloth/towel helps. Skin does look clearer after using this mask. I would say this mask is ideal to be used once or twice a week particularly during the warmer months.

I really liked this mask, it was a little strong for my skin and I couldn't leave it on for the whole recommended time due to tingling but left my skin feeling clean and smooth. The smell was amazing and I really liked the consistency. I didn't have to use a lot to cover my face. I noticed a day later I broke out a little but I think that was due to my skin drawing out impurities. It was fine a few days after.

The Neutrogena purifying boost clay mask was great to use. It covered my skin well and when removed left my skin soft and feeling refreshed. I noticed less imperfections after using it and my skin more more balanced in its oil production.

I had high expectations for this mask, however I don't feel it lived up to its claims. While my skin did feel nice and soft after I used the mask, it only lasted around 15 minutes. Won't buy

upon application my face started to feel tingly it wasnt too bad so left it on and it left my skin soft afterwards which is good. The tingling reaction put me off it though. Im not sure what caused that.

I have used other products in the range before so I was already familiar with the packaging. My first impression of the mask was that the scent was pleasant and upon application I found it very cooling. I applied quite a thick layer (honestly, it was just because I liked the sensation) but still found it to set easily. I kept it on for the recommended 30 minutes and did not experience the tight discomfort that you sometimes experience with clay masks. The product was easy to rinse and definitely left my skin feeling soothed and slightly softer considering the short application time. The following day I did find my skin tone to appear slightly more even that usual as I often experience some redness.
