My husband uses this as well as my son. So easy and quick to use. Does an excellent job making their skin feel smooth and nice to touch. Amazing product and well worth the purchase.

Wet and Dry
I have used a couple of different electric shavers over the past 10 years but always go back to a blade. I really like the Wet shavers as you are able to have a shave while in the shower. Super easy to clean which is a bonus. Unfortunately this shaver doesn't get close enough for me. Great size and feel while using. Great battery life and the stubble attachment is alos great. Would have been a 5* if I got a closer shave.
Decent but tricky to get perfect
The shaver did a decent job providing a close shave on most areas of my face, but I had trouble with the neck. I never managed to get the stubble styler to work very well.

Left my neck feeling raw and attacked!!
At full power this device sounded like it was run by hearing aid batteries. It was so slow with its blades it instantly gave me around 4 to 5 cuts on my neck. I persisted with using it until the end for the review but I could not use it a 2nd time. It left way too many rash scratches and cuts which I’ve never had before on any other shaver and left my skin feeling raw and attacked. I have an old Braun 5070 About 15yrs old which sounds like a buzz saw when switched on that leaves the skin silky smooth from a dry shave. I could tell just turning them on together just how weak this Remington was. Maybe I got a faulty device? But even so it didn’t have a speed setting so I assume that’s the only speed it can go and if it’s that slow I can’t imagine many men’s necks being too happy with the Remington R4.

A good first shaver for finer hair
The Remington R4 Style Series Shaver seemed like an excellent shaver for a certain type of beard, however my beard did not benefit from the product. However, this product had a couple of features that would be quite useful such as the piece that clips on to get a one or two day growth look. My issue was that my whiskers are very course and perhaps too course for the regular use of this product as it took quite some time to produce a smooth look and feel. I feel as though when I was younger and had more fluffy whiskers, like when I was in my teenage years, this would not have been an issue. Maybe this product would be most suited to someone who is a bit younger, or who does not have such course hair to shave everyday. This would make an ideal first electric shaver. A feature I liked I would love to feature on all razors is the attachment that gives the five o'clock shadow look. I found the trimmer to be of use and will continue to use it along with the blades I currently shave with.

Remington Electic Razor
The build quality was good however the three blade system seems a little rough. Having always used a normal razor blade the transiton to an electric razor was a difficult and did cause some skin iritation. This might just be my skin and your mileage may vary.

A great shaver with options
The R4 shaver is a great shaver for it's price range. It provides a good close shave and the "stubble styler" attachment is a great addition which allows a precise shave.

Convenience plus but not close enough
Initial thoughts: Product was packaged reasonably well. Instructions weren't overly complex, which was good as it held my interest as I usually stop midway through. First impressions - looks like a tidy good unit. Very happy its cordless and waterproof. My last electric shaver was probably back 10 years ago and this looks so much better. During 21 trial period: I'm lucky that I'm not overly hairy and can get by each week with only shaving 2-3 times. I really enjoyed the ability to use the Remington shaver whilst on the shower (massive plus) but I found that I wasn't happy with the 'after shave feel' - it didn't feel close enough when I felt how much stubble remained. I would ensure it was cleaned thoroughly after each use but I felt I was shaving twice as longer for an unsatisfactory shave. Hopefully it gets better over the trial period. Post trial thoughts - I was really pleased to get this opportunity to test a modern electric shaver but overall I would not recommend it.
