PROS: clear glass lid so you can see the rice cooking & you don't need to keep taking the lid off to see how it is cooking, quick, easy to use & read Instruction booklet, the cooking bowl & glass lid are dishwasher safe, good heat proof handle, quick & easy to mix rice with plastic serving spoon CONS: New user product odor when first turning on the Rice Cooker which remained for the duration of cooking, unable to control the cooking heat/temperature - this is no dial for this, cannot control the cooking time - there is no dial/button on the Rice Cooker to select to cook white rice which cooks much faster than brown rice, it took longer to cook my brown rice in the Rice Cooker than in a saucepan/frypan, my rice was burnt to the bottom of the cooking bowl BEFORE it was cooked despite following the instructions & had to start all over again, glass lid still lets steam out around the edges - could get burnt Question: is the Rice Cooker, plastic serving spoon, steamer, cup BPA Free ?

I absolutely love this cooker super fast easy to clean , cooked even soups and stews in it would throughly recommend it loved it!!

To test the russell hobbs I first cooked 4 cups of white rice as per instruction manual. It took 17 minutes to cook the rice and I then left in the rice cooker on warm setting for 15 minutes as per the instruction manual. The rice was cookedquickly 17 minutes. the outcome of cooking quickly is that there is a layer of scor I then cooked 2 cups of brown rice following the instructions this took 37 minutes to cook and was then left for 15 minutes on the warm setting. the rice was cooked and again there was a layer of scorched rice on the bottom of the bowl that is not usuable. this rice cooker would be good when cooking a large quantity of rice as it cooks quickly and the wastage would not be as a large portion of the finished rice. to cook small quantities I would use another method.

After reading manual and following instructions The rice cooker seemed to be an easy way to cook rice but the mess was worse than cooking in simple pot and water and having to check all the time because water keep flowing over.

Cooks rice to perfection, nice and soft fluffy rice and so quick as well, highly recommend

I love the Russell Hobbs Turbo Rice Cooker Matte Black. It comes well packaged and includes a steamer basket, measuring cup and rice paddle. The cooker itself is nice to look at, lightweight, simple to use and easy to clean. I use a rice cooker most days and quite often serve rice with steamed vegetables. This rice cooker has saved me loads of time and washing up because you can steam your veggies at the same time that your rice is cooking and the only extra washing up is the steamer basket. Love that it automatically switches to the warm function once the rice has cooked and the built in lid holder is genius. Excellent rice cooker, especially at this price.

I was pleasantly surprised by this rice cooker. It was my first experience using a rice cooker and it's very easy to use. I made brown rice and aside from a run-over, it made perfect rice. I also tried making a pancake and it came out pretty well. Once the measurements are down, I could see myself using this regularly as a set-and-forget kitchen tool.

I liked the rice cooker. I just add half glass more water to get it cooked right. Otherwise was easy to use and no mess cooking. I liked the Matt black colour, good quality product and durable. Excellent for the price range.

Russell Hobbs Turbo Rice Cooker is a cute looking machine. I have used it several times now, however it is hard to get the water to rice ratio correct. I have used the instructions, following the 4 cups rice, and filling the water to the designated water line, however I found that there was too much water and had turn the cooker from "warming" back to cooking. I have since done it with my normal rice ratio, and the rice turned out great!

It looks great. It’s fast and easy to use. The only thing I did not like was the steam basket. You couldn’t cook a full pot of rice. I also found it very difficult to remove it to serve as it was very flimsy and lowered into the bowl

It is a great product! Fast efficient cooking. Easy to use and multiple uses available! So much better then my other rice cooker I have been using before this one. The rice comes out fluffy and not dry. My whole family enjoyed the rice cooked in this cooker. I would definitely buy this as well as buy it as a gift for family and friends.

This rice cooker was amazing and super efficient at cooking rice to perfection! If you are looking for an upgrade this is the way to go, and the matte black design is super modern and stylish in any home. I found the size was probably too large if only cooking for four, would definitely suit a larger family though! I also cooked a stew in here to test and it worked perfectly! Very versatile appliance, would recommend.

absolutely love it. Rice comes out flufffy and perfect. I love how it swtiches from cooking when its done to warm and keeps it warm. I also made soup in it and it came out wonderful

The rice cooker was easy to use and the rice came out really fluffy.

This device cooked the rice to a beautifully fluffy consistency with a light texture. The end result wasn't too dry or overcooked or too wet and gluggy, all of which is easy to do in some other rice cookers. I also made a risotto in here and it was restaurant perfect quality. This tool is so handy to have in the kitchen, not just for time saving cooking, but for excellent results.
