Tefal Easy Rice & Slow Cooker

To be completely honest we were excited to try the rice cooker function. Having cooked rice on the stove multiple times a week we read the instructions and were surprised it would take 43 minutes to cook rice in the rice cooker. When we make our own rice on the stove it takes less than 12 minutes and wonder why you would use a rice cooker instead when you’ve got the rice cooking down to a fine art like we do. That said the rice was cooked beautifully from the rice cooker but seems to take an unnecessarily long amount of time to cook. I think the product could have more information about the slow cooking option and maybe some recipe suggestions and also have a digital count down telling you how long is remaining in the cooking time.

I loved this product! I used it to cook my brown rice for a salad I was making at Christmas time. It cooked it perfectly, light and fluffy. I would definitely recommend this product, I'm looking forward to trying it out for a soup.

The first use was not the best, the rice was overdone so it took a couple of goes to get it right, but once that happened the rice was super fluffy

So easy to use. Perfect rice every time. The non-stick bowl worked very well, unlike previous rice cookers that have had rice stick to the bottom.

The tefal rice cooker was very basic, with easy to use buttons. I would have preferred if there was some sort of sound , like a beep when the rice was finished cooking. Apart from that it was extremely easy. Rice was cooked perfectly and the warm function meant you could leave in the appliance until you were ready to serve up without having to worry about it being cold. Overall I think it is an easy basic appliance to use.

It is a good simple step solution from start to finish. It doesn't require you to check while cooking which makes it super handy to put rice on while you are making other components of your dish. Highly recommended!

Wow what an awesome cooking product, everything was cooked to perfection with ease and simplicity of use. I would totally recommend the Tefal Easy Rice & Slow Cooker.

I really like rice cooker as you can use with steam basket to cook your vegetables or fish. You can have nice dinner in just 45 min time. Unfortunately i didnt have a chance to try slow cooking option yet. Cooker is quite easy to operate but unfortunately they is no instruction how to use slow cooker and how long it will take to cook. A recipe booklet will be good. Also i had a problem with removing steam basket from cooker. Some attachment will be good .

Happy with the presentation of the packaging. Very simple to use which was good because there was minimal instructions. We decided to cook a stew the first time round using the slow cooker part of the machine and we weren't a fan. Because you weren't able to open the machine to stir throughout the time cooking, the consistency was pale and gluggy. We also cooked some white rice the next night and we liked it. Very surprised with the fluffiness of the rice, not wet or dry. Initially unimpressed by the cooking time, however happy with the outcome.

While I was happy with how easy to use this machine is, I wasn't thrilled on the time it took to cook rice when I can do it on the stove in a lot less time. I think I would use this more as a slow cooker than a rice cooker.

Super happy with the slow cooker product, it made the best slow cooked pulled lamb, as well as superb steamed dumplings!! It was easy to use once I figured it out, the instructions could definently be better though.

First things first, the tefal easy rice & slow cooker was so light! It was amazing how easy it was to move. My old slow cooker was so heavy being a ceramic dish inside. I made 2 lots of rice and 2 different slow cooked meals and both times everything was great. I put everything in the bowl and let cook and that was it. The meats were so tender. The rice came out perfect however the instructions state that 4 cups of rice takes approximately 43 minutes and my 2 cups or dry rice took that long? I think better instructions would be beneficial as I was a little confused on how to actually start cooking. Got there in the end, and can't wait to use all it's functions. The bowl was absolutely fantastic when it came to cleaning - literally a rinse of water and a light sponge with soap and that was it. Again my old slow cooker would have sauce burnt on thebottom and cooking rice in a pot always had to be soaked. Overall I was really happy because my meals came out great with very little effort.
