Points Earned

As soon as you upload content to our website, you automatically receive 500 points per photo and 1000 points per video to your Home Club account. These points may be adjusted depending on how your content is ranked during moderation. Read below for more information.

Moderation of Content

The photo and video content you upload is manually reviewed by our Home Tester Club team. That means, we look at each upload, and if it’s suitable to appear online it gets published and you receive points for it. During the moderation process, if your upload does not meet our guidelines, it will be removed and you will lose the points you received at the time of upload.
Moderation is based on the quality of your submission. If your content is suitable for publishing, it is sorted into one of these categories and you will earn points for it:

• Great
• Good
• Acceptable

If your content is not suitable for publishing, it will be sorted into one of these categories and you will lose your points for it:

• Hidden
• Duplicate
• Removed

Since our team moderates each upload, it may take some time for it to appear on our website and in your member dashboard. Thank you for your patience as we review your content!

Great Content

This content stands out authentically and creatively. It highlights your experience with the product, whether you liked it or not! It is exactly what we want to publish on our website, social media channels and beyond.
Content is considered great if you follow most of these guidelines:

• Be authentic and honest, whether it’s positive or negative.
• Demonstrate the product’s features and benefits.
• Use natural light so we can see you clearly.
• Avoid featuring other brands (we can’t publish that content for copyright reasons).
• For videos, avoid distractions, music or noise in the background.
• For videos, speak clearly so we can hear your thoughts.

We understand that sometimes the product you’re reviewing may not be suitable to be included in your content, for example intimate care products or medications. If you can’t show the product in use, you can still speak about your experience and your overall thoughts about the product.

Good Content

This content is good quality and suitable for publishing, but with a couple of changes, it could be great content. Please refer to the section above, for how to turn your good content into great content!

Acceptable Content

This content is still suitable for publishing, but it is likely missing a lot of what makes content great. Please refer to the section above, for how to turn your content from acceptable to great next time you upload!

Hidden Content

This content is not against our guidelines, but it does not help other members buy better, and it is not suitable for publishing. Hidden content is removed and the points earned at the time of upload will be removed from your account too.
Your content is hidden if it contains the following:

• There is a lack of information and it does not tell us about the product.
• It is low quality (blurry, out of focus, low lighting).
• For video uploads, there is background noise making it difficult to understand the content.
• For video uploads, there is background music which cannot be included due to copyright.

Duplicate Content

This content is something you have uploaded already, whether it’s a duplicate photo or video, or it’s very similar to your previous uploads for the same product. Duplicate content is removed and the points earned at the time of upload will be removed from your account too.

Removed Content

This content cannot be published to our website. The points earned at the time of upload will be removed from your account too.
Your content is removed if we notice the following:

• Your photo or video is AI-generated.
• Does not contain the product or anything about your experience with it.
• Stock images taken from the internet that you do not own.
• Something completely irrelevant to the product.
• For video uploads, you are speaking about topics other than the product.
