* PREGO TOMATO BASIL & GARLIC SAUCE 300G * SAN REMO TOMATO & BASIL PASTA SAUCE 500G I used to make my own sauces for pasta but now I use San Remo which is the perfect blend of tomato and basil. Add capsicums and mushrooms to make it even more tasty. I tone down the sourness by adding a bit of sugar. I enjoy using this sauce because it is always convenient for me to store in the fridge and use it whenever I need an extra boost of flavour to anything. Be it in stews, pasta bases, dips, or even lasagna, this Prego sauce has always been there for me and my family. I love everything about it. From the taste, the texture and the real bits and pieces of garlic and tomatoes, everything is just superb. It works so well when you maximise its flavour with some herbs like bay leaves, thyme, oregano and even some italian herbs. Love it!

Watery, tasty, no basil taste
The sauce is slightly watery. The tomato taste is very original but I can't taste the basil. It would be great if the it has a stronger basil taste. I would prefer the texture to be more creamier. If I buy San remo, I would prefer the smaller bottle packing as it will not have leftovers which needs to be consume within few days. However it still taste good after being kept for a week in the fridge. However, the price for San remo is slightly expensive. So, I would prefer to purchase prego's in cans packing.

Sour, salty and watery
San Remo pasta sauce is a bit salty and the sauce is a quite watery. The tomato taste is also overpowering, too tangy for my liking.
