Laphroaig 10 Year Old

I really enjoyed this drink! It isn't something I would usually buy, as it's quite expensive, however it's a lovely treat and would be a nice drink for a special occasion. I drank the drink neat, over nice, and that was my preferred way of drinking it. I also drank it neat, without ice, and that still tasted lovely. I just like my drinks on the rocks! It's quite a strong drink, what I would describe as a masculine drink. Being a woman in my thirties, I would feel a little out of place ordering this drink in a bar, however I would feel comfortable drinking it at home by myself. It would be a nice little "night cap" after working an eleven hour shift in retail. The drink is very warming, you can really feel it going down your throat! However, it's not unpleasant at all, and the flavoursome aftertaste is very long lasting. I am not good at describing flavours, it just tastes like "posh" whisky to me! I would recommend this drink. It's full of flavour and body!

Very charectful whiskey. Irresistible blend of flavors that are clear and easy to distinguish. Smoky flavour with a little of sweetness. Personally prefer add ice and water

This Laphroaig whisky aged 10 year is an excellent dram for those people who appreciate a good classic whisky and those, who want to try a special whisky for the first time. All my guests friends, relatives are pleasantly surprised after tasting Laphroaig with it's special tasting notes like a hint of seaweed.

This is a good whiskey to have on occasion and of an evening. It is quite peaty and does have a strong smoky flavour. When tasting alongside other whiskies the others were much preferred. It wouldn't be my first choice but might make a good sour or with a mixer.

This whisky is gorgeous, it smells lovely and it is so smooth and goes down like a dream. I enjoyed this neat with ice but I am sure this would be gorgeous with Lemonade too. I would highly recommend this whisky to anyone who enjoys a little tipple.

I thought Laphroaig 10 year old whisky was very smokey and peaty tasting. I loved the initial smokey taste but didn't enjoy the ongoing aftertaste of it. It's not the smoothest 10 year whisky I've tasted, so I wouldn't buy it again. I think it looks great and I love the story behind it. I drank it neat, which was nice. I also tried it in a cream coffee, but really didn't like that as the smokey flavour didn't go well together.

First time having this whisky and honestly it was such a nice surprise to have. Has a strong smokey taste with notes of pete and sweetness to it. Very flavoursome whisky and recommended fully to get.

I would highly recommend this whiskey. Smokey and sweet taste, high quality and refreshing taste.

Laphroaig 10 Year Old is a truly extraordinary adventure on which Scottish island distillers will take you. The longer you taste, the more colors you will discover. A bit of vanilla, pepper, salt, sweetness, a bit of spice, this is just the beginning of the journey. Definitely an unobvious taste. It's like a walking trail led by the Laphroaig distillers. Extremely exciting and interesting. Maybe not for everyone, but it will certainly satisfy every gourmet of a good, strong and expressive drink. Definitely a drink worth recommending.

Wow what a beautiful tasting single malt Whisky. Served over ice the smoked flavour is perfect for a short drink. Would recommend this to any one who like a kick in the throat when having a drink

This was very smooth in texture, it had a very light smoky sort of taste, and a very light sweetness that you don’t usually get with whiskey. I tried it neat with ice and with diet soda, which was quite refreshing after a long day.

This was not my favourite whiskey as the smokiness and peaty flavour overtook the taste. I prefer my whiskey to be more rounded but this was very smooth.

A serious whisky for a serious whisky drinker… earthy, peaty and smokey. I prefer it over ice, but some may have the palette for it straight up. Great presentation and packaging makes it perfect to give as a present to a whisky fan.

Always enjoy Laphroaig was glad of the opportunity to test and review. A good whiskey that packs a punch. Mellows to a nice drink with a drop of water. Wouldn't add a mixer as that would spoil the taste.
