There was nothing special about the mop, it did an ok job but nothing anymore. It was a little awkward to handle and when you squeezed it together with the handle to get rid of the excess water it still didn’t get rid of it fully because the mop head stuck out further than the squeezing mechanism. The cleaning effect was no better than your average mop, it didn’t do a bad job but it wasn’t fantastic either - any bits than needed extra scrubbing still needed extra scrubbing after going over it with 2 or 3 times with the butterfly mop. It gets rid of light surface dirt, but not much else.

Nothing special

Easily gets under furniture, into any tight spaces

The mop is very simple to use with a robust solid feel to it. The large handle is easy to grip and manoeuvre.
The mechanism to squeeze the mop head is very clever and works very well.
My only issue personally is the handle could be longer, I’m average height but still had to bend to get some force into my mopping action, which I imagine could cause back ache with prolonged use, my wife was able to use it without bending over.
It’s very impressive and makes household cleaning quick and mess free.


Easy to use

This has the quality I expect from Oxo, feeling sturdy and well made, robust and like it'll last a while. However, the mop surface itself looked like it had been used excessively after only one wash which is concerning for the longevity of it. 
The mop head is very effective in its cleaning , and so easy to use. The sponge squeeze didn't seem to be fully effective so it'll offer a slightly more wet mop than you're expecting. 
This is a great all round product and very easy to use. 

Great easy to use mop

This is a great mop.  I found it the most useful in our shower room and spa.  The stick was great in reaching the spa ceiling ans giving it a good scrub ans made extra convenient by having the squeegee function to get rid of excess moisture.  I have hard wood floors throughout the main areas of the house so this kind of mop isn't suitable as there needs to be minimal moisture so microfiber is best for this. But this mop is fantastic in the tiled bathrooms and for our tiles spa floor, walls and ceiling!

Excellent for our spa!

My OXO Butterfly Mop arrived and I immediately started to use it in great anticipation.  It served very well built.   The first thing I noticed was that it was not obvious where the locking handle should be during use... You have to 'slightly' unlatch it to get the mop head into the correct angled position... Once I'd figured that out mopping was very easy and cleaned extremely well.  Then came washing the mop head itself.  I ran it under the hot tap and with a small amount of scrubbing with my fingers all the dirt came off.  Great I thought... Then came removing the water.... and here is it's biggest issue.  Although moving the locking handle firmly forwards squeezes both sides together, it doesn't squeeze them hard enough.  So it leaves quite a lot of water in the sponge backing.... Not ideal.  I had to squeeze the two halves together with my hands to get it all out.
It was a good effort, let down by the lacklustre water squeezing mechanism, which was a deal breaker for me.

Good but has it flaws

The concept is good, the mechanism to squeeze out the excess water is a good idea but needs to squeeze more of the water out. The general usability is good and ideally for a quick mop round the floor

Needs more squeeze

The OXO Butterfly Mop is very good at its job! It’s not too big and bulky and is lightweight to use. Very efficient at squeezing out the excess water and it cleans the floor with ease. Love that it folds flat to keep storage at a minimum too. Would recommend!

Excellent Mop

 With the OXO Butterfly Mop you will never have a sore back from  bending to wring the mop. You will never need to wear gloves because your hands will not touch dirty water. I highly recommend this life saver.

A life saver

Initially I wasn’t sure if this was going to suit me as we have two dogs and a young child our kitchen during the winter months is often covered in muddy foot prints so is mopped quite regularly throughout the day. However I have been pleasantly surprised as to how easy this made that. The squeeze handle allows you to drain off sufficient water that it doesn’t leave the floor soaking and risk everyone slipping over or having to exclude anyone for too long when snacks are needed! 
The mop head is more effective at cleaning than it looks although it would be handy to have a second for when this one needs washing.
The mop is not overly heavy and quite easy to move around. It can be tricky if you have awkward corners and not very slimline to fit underneath appliances etc if that’s something you need to be able to do.
Overall very pleased with this mop and the usual quality you expect from an OXO product.

Better than expected

The Oxo Butterfly Mop is a good looking mop, with a strong mechanism to squeeze out the water.

It is straight forward to use, I dunked it in water with some disinfectant and set to it cleaning my bathroom floor.

The actual gliding across the floor action is good and I can get to the corners okay but when it comes to using the mechanism to squeeze out the water, I found I had to do it multiple times and water was still coming out. 

In fact, not enough water ever did come out and it left my bathroom floor sopping wet.

Another negative point to add, is that mine seems to be shedding lots of orange bits.  I'm not sure this is because it is the first time using it, but nevertheless doesn't fill me with hope it will not happen again.

A real shame as I had high hope for this product. 

Soaking wet floors

The Mop gives exceptional results when comes to cleaning and mopping. The sponge is super absorbent and the butterfly action helps the removal of water and dirt from the sponge thoroughly. Highly recommended.

Justifies the name Butterfly

I like the concept of this mop. 

The design is great being able to wipe a wide are of the floor in less time than you usually do with a standard mop. The butterfly feature it does the job and can easy get the water out of the sponge it a second. Its very sturdy and using it for 2 weeks now I can't see any faults.

What I don't like about it that Iit does need a bucket, and I would prefer a water tank built into the mop handle instead. As the bucket takes lot of space to store. 

Overall its a good substitute to a standard mob but does need improving. 

Butterfly mop

After recently trialing the OXO mop I was pleasantly surprised at how it easy it was to use & how efficient it was at completing the job in hand. I have arthritis in my hands and yet still found it quite easy to squeeze the water out of the map to provide just the right amount of moisture needed to do the job. I used the mop on both wooden floors & ceramic tiles & felt that it did a great job on both. I would  definitely pay for this item, had I not had the privilege of trialing it and will definitely recommend it to family & friends.

Game-Changer Microfiber Mop with Feet

Loved the mop itself, really easy to use, good for storing as well. The mop wrings the water out but could be a bit tighter to get excess water out when finished. I did however find that the amount of water in the mop lasted well while I was mopping and to a good consistency. It wasn’t too watery or dry but perfect. I wasn’t sure how to stand the mop on it’s ‘elevated feet’ and there were no instructions on how to do this on the packaging so I found that the mop was dripping once stored to finish and I had to manually squeeze with my hands to get the excess out. I have never mopped so much since receiving it though and find that it really makes a difference to the floor, giving it a thorough clean. I would recommend.

Great mop!

I think it is a good design, i especially like the storage position with integrated stand that keeps the wet head off the floor to to dry. The construction is solid and and it comfortable to use. My only issue is that it leaves the floor quite wet and takes a long time to dry despite squeezing as much water out as possible, which is ok on some floors but not all. 

Good design but a bit wet

Takes up a lot of space it doesn’t really get into a lot of surfaces. It’s doable. It’s an okay product but they are better options than this. The only good thing about it is that it’s good for soaking water.

Review 

This is my third OXO Mop. I can highly recommend for durability (I did not buy another 2 because the others broke, it was more convenient to have 3), ease of use and value for money.
I am an older lady with limited mobility and find this mop extremely efficient.

Excellent 

I think if you make some adjustments and improvements this could become the best cleaning mop! Easy to use and clean okay but it lacks quality! The sponge is still very wet no matter what you do and you have to change it every couple of days because doesn’t last long.

It could be better!

This has actually made mopping feel a bit less like a chore. The sponge head glides over the floor easily and soaks up messes pretty well. I like how simple the wringing mechanism is—no need to touch anything gross. Only thing is the sponge wears down a bit faster than expected, so it might need replacing more often if you use it regularly.

Cleaning made easier 

Does what is say's on the tin! It's an effective mop, which is easy to use. Not my favourite though there is also nothing wrong with it. 

Sound Mop

Didn’t expect much when they are famous for oxo cubes but this actually worked ok. It wouldn’t be my favourite choice but because I find the design quirky

Surprisingly good 

I brought one of these but I didn’t get on with it I found that it was always too wet ever after ringing it out a few times and I found the sponge wasn’t very strong and would need replacing to many times.Well it would in my house has I have dogs in and out and grandchildren so the floors can get abit messy.But it is a good design and would be ideal for someone who lives on there own or a couple with no pets

Mopping

I picked this mop up a while ago, and it’s made cleaning floors so much easier. The butterfly design allows for a good range of movement, and the mop head covers a decent area, so I don’t have to go over the same spot repeatedly. The handle is comfortable to grip, which is great if you need to clean for longer periods. It’s a practical addition to any cleaning routine!
