Tefal Actifry Advance Snacking

I loved this product. It looked so sleek with my kitchen and is so functional and versatile. I didn’t realise airfrying could be so quick and easy. I literally just prepare my food, pop it in, stick it on and that’s it all done. There’s no need to go back and stir or shake, it does it for you! I’ve been using it for fried chicken and chips but also for saucy dishes where it basically doubles up as a slow cooker. It’s so easy to clean as it separates and is dishwasher safe. It’s slightly on the bigger side but fits in well with my kitchen and holds enough to feed four adults. The display is clear and the buttons straightforward to use.

This ActiFry had me in two minds initially when I received it. It has now after 2 weeks of testing proved to be an outstanding entry level device which I'm using daily. As an avid cook I found the following: The good 1. The snacking tray produces excellent crispy results every time 2. The paddle is a genius addition ensuring even cooked food, unlike normal static air fryers. It further eliminates the need to manually stir any saucy meals being prepared 3. I love crispy chips and this air fryer excels in this area. I definitely recommend the Tex Mex Fries in the ActiFry app 4. The device is small enough to fit perfectly in my studio flat kitchen and has earned its permanent spot complimenting the rest of the kitchen 5. The non-stick pan and device is extremely easy to clean 6. Saves time no preheating The not so good 7. Extremely basic manual only outlining safety instructions and 2 pictured recipes 8. Quite noisy 9. Short 90cm power cable 10. Recipe app generic to all ActiFry models

This Tefal actify advance snacking blows other brands of the water, you can set the digital timer and leave food to cook perfectly. it is extremely quick cooking and with the spin motion of the detachable basket or stirring arm helps cook food evenly. Chips come out crispy and fluffy and meat stays moist compared to cooking in a standard oven. This actifry is much easier to maintain and clean compared to other brands with the detachable pan, basket or stirring arm. I would certainly recommend this product to everyone! 5 stars!

We were excited to get going with the Tefal Actifry Advance Snacking when it arrived and got to work on peeling the potato's to make home made chips (hoping there would be no greasy smells) We were not disappointed, there was no greasy smell! The machines ergonomics are great with the sleek design and digital display, all very user friendly. The units sites nicely on the worktop when using and so doesn't take up too much space. It is also relatively quiet when in operation. The instructions stated we use 1.5kg of potato's, in our opinion, this was too much as some of the chips were unable to rotate in the machine and were still raw. Despite the little amount of oil that is needed, the chips that did cook had a nice colour, not crispy but a nice cooler. We will mast the art of how to make the perfect chip in less than 30 minutes with little effort and no nasty leftover greasy smells, On this occasion Daddy won, but next time who knows, it maybe chips!

Great equipment for those who care about their health but still love fries and other fried food. It works really well and in short time can have tasty food. It is easy to use and super convenient for cleaning. I am happy that after every use I can wash it and keep it hygienic. However, at the beginning I missed proper instructions and better recommendations as I burned my food. Also tefal actifry gets very hot so have to be careful and keep away from kids.

I absolutely love this product! On the initial reading of the instructions, it was a little confusing as you are trying to follow very small diagrams, which were not very clear. However once you have set it up the first time, there is no need to refer back to these as it is a very simple operation. It is recommended that you activate the air fryer without any food in for the first time and it does smell slightly the first time it is heated up. Setting the timer is very simple, you cant go wrong.Since testing this product I have tried oven chips, sweet potato fries and standard potato fries. I find that oven chips always tend to be dry when cooked in the oven, but when cooked in the air fryer they are so lovely and crispy on the outside but still very light and fluffy in the middle. Food is well cooked without an oil slick that results from deep frying. I have now downloaded the Actifry app which has a large variety of receipes and I cant wait to try more

I've always liked the idea of an airfryer but I am jinxed so tend to avoid gadgets as if there is a way to mess it up I will. This appears to be foolproof as no problems using it at all. The unit looks sleek and enjoy it sitting on worktop. The handle of the basket folds down for when not in use which is a great space saving thing. It is easy to operate you just set the timer and hit go and there is a pause if you need to access for any reason. There is even a rough time guide on machine for some common things. Now the most important thing is the food. Everything I made was really tasty and crisped things up nicely with no oil at all I imagine things would be super crispy with a wee teaspoon of oil. Looking forward to experimenting more as only scratched the surface of what you can do with an airfryer. I have already recommended to a friend.

The Tefal ActiFry Advance Snacking although a great concept, is quite a bulky, heavy appliance to store in a small kitchen. The instructions were easy to follow and the smartphone app suggests some good ideas. It is also very easy to wash either by hand or in the dishwasher. The food is cooked in a much healthier way. However we didn't find too much difference between the taste of the chips cooked with this and oven chips. We tried a number of recipes from the app. It cooked chicken really well for curries but the Bolognese recipe was too dry. The concept is a very good one and I'm sure anyone wishing to eat healthier would enjoy using it. However it is quite an expensive appliance and this needs to be considered on balance with the taste and storage of it.

The instructions that came with it aren’t worth the paper written on as not very helpful and the app isn’t any clearer it felt like trial and error. Saying that the chips and chicken were very tasty and we won’t be buying frozen chips any more and it’s pretty good at spring rolls.

On unboxing the actifry the instructions for use left a lot to be desired, however there are lots of you tube videos and suggestions that helped. This is the only negative I have come across. The cooking of food is quick and tasty. I tried so many recipes from pineapple chicken and spicy drumsticks to chips and wedges and everything came out delicious. All food was crispy and tasted naughty, however you are using minimal amount of oil which makes all food a healthy option. We all love this and my extended family now want to get one too.

Great product - bit intimidating when it first arrived, but don’t be fooled..it’s so easy to use and makes amazing snacks and meals

It makes cooking and preparing meals so much easier. My family loves chips and it was just so easy to cook them and knowing that they are healthier than being fried is a bonus. Every meal that I made turned out really well.

I have really enjoyed trying and testing this out. I love the fact that you only need a small bit of cooking oil. And the rest is cooked with Air. It’s a great sleek design, very easy to set up and use. The only thing I didn’t think was quite right was the middle bit that spins and moved the items around gets very very hot. Also if you have that spinning thing in you can’t put the metal round shelf in at the same time. Also you have to check the timing as the booklet times can vary .Apart from these I absolutely love it.

I really enjoyed trying out the tefal actifry advance snacking, it makes amazing chips and roasted chickpeas, i also made beef Stefando and scrambled eggs it is simple to use and the actifry app is useful too for ideas on recipes. I think the only negative I found was when using the non stick pan at the bottom for foods with sauces the spinner is a bit of a pain to clean underneath as it has a few nooks and crannies. Apart from that it it a great adaptable, healthy eating product to use.

I found this product surprisingly delicious it’s improved everything I cooked in it, crispy healthier way of cooking and super fast also in conjunction with the app the recipes and my results were amazing my family loved it and my daughter wanted to take it home A* I would and have recommended it to everyone who would listen... thank you for letting me try it!
