Tefal Express Protect

The Tefal steam generator works very well, unfortunately the only drawback is that the lead is too short to reach the top of the ironing board so can't be used as an actual iron!

The express protect is a whole lot of kit. It is very bulky and needs a firm surface (an ironing board will just tip over with this on one end). Despite being an impressive and light looking iron, it is in fact very heavy. It does all it says it does and all it needs to, but apart from the size a couple of other bits hamper its overall usage. The cord is too stiff and due to this needs to be a bit longer (that said I assume it will have more 'give' over time and usage), and the steam button placement (beneath the handle - for ease of use) means that you often press the steam button when you go to pick up the iron.

Tefal Express protect takes the hassle out of ironing clothing, making it quick and easier! The creases come out without so much effort and the garments look smarter a lot quicker!

I've been tempted to buy one of these irons for ages but my wife preferred standard irons. Now that we've both tried this whizz-bang iron we realise what fools we were. Ironing is so much easier and faster with a Tefal Express Protect. I think it's the lighter iron and extra steam that make the difference. Not having to refill the iron is a bonus. The only slight downside is the storage space required but that soon gets forgotten; out of sight, out of mind.

I was excited to open this and use it as it is the first steam generator I have used as I usually use a standard iron and was excited by the claims Tefal make on the Express protect steam generator and oh my I can now see why they say what they do as it is genuinely all true. The iron process for me has been reduced massively and the steam generator itself literally takes a few minutes to heat up and there is only one setting for all clothes so no more having to adjust the dial depending on what you are ironing. This gets out the creases properly as well where my previous iron still left a few creases in it or sometimes I found that I had managed to iron creases in to the clothes, with this I have had none of these issues. The vertical steam is just amazing especially for my girls pleated school skirt as I can now hang them and iron them vertical keeping all the pleats in tact. The steam generator is also lighter to hold and use than my previous iron.

I was initially a bit sceptical about this iron , i mean , we all have irons at home what would make this one so special ? I have to admit i was surprised by just how effective this iron was , I was really impressed by the size of the tank i finished quite a long session of ironing and never had to refill the tank , on my old iron i would have had to refill at least twice. The other factor that impressed me was the promise of sanitizing my clothes as well , I was also really impressed by just how effective this iron was it really powered through the most creased clothes with no problem at all the iron is so light in your hand The other thing i liked was the length of the cord from the water tank to the iron and how it is stored on the body of the water tank itself and it is really easy to store , it is the same size as any other steam generator despite having a larger water tank . So to end this review i would just say if you need a new iron buy this one you wont regret it at all.

I was buzzing to try the Tefal Express Protect steam iron! It is a game changer and I had my kids try it out as well. They no longer dread ironing their own clothes! It is safe and easy to use and works well. It did take me a bit of time to figure out how to use it, that is in the gentleness in handling the appliance and the rate at which to move the iron about to get the best results. It cut my ironing time by approx 1/2 and I get wrinkle free pieces of clothing now. Yes it takes a little bit more effort with thicker garments like jeans but it is worth getting the crisp look! The steam is really powerful and it shows in the end result. Ironing linen ( which I despised ) is now one of my favourite items to iron. As the kids love this product too it is a win win for us all!

Very good and powerful steam jets good design the way the handle keeps cord away from garments only problem I’ve found is that it’s a little heavier than I was expecting. I use this every week to iron my clothes, this is hands down the best iron I have ever used and thats no exaggeration, Ironing has gone from an arduous task to one I no longer mind completing.

All in all, an excellent steam iron, gets our clothes beautifully crisp, but be warned, for someone used to ironing with the more common type of iron (one without the massive watertank/steam generator), it does take a bit of getting used to, as your physical motion is slightly different, but it is worth persevering, it's a lovely iron once I got used to it

This is the best iron I have ever used. The actual iron is so light to pick up but can get the most stubborn crease out. Love the fact the steam button is in the handle

having received this product I was excited to get started, ironing is usually long and tedious, but this product provided a new spin on the humble iron, it provides full steam when you need it, the vertical steam function is excellent for refreshing clothes, I had not problems using this product but when doing research I did find its rather expensive, and can be quite bulky to fit on a standard ironing board.

I was amazed by how easy this was to use, starting with the water tank, this is big enough to do a big load of ironing without having to refill, next would be the weight of the iron, it was so light and not heaving on my wrists. I managed to complete all my ironing in half the time it normally takes. The steam is very powerful enough so that I didn't have to iron both sides of garments or linen. The only drawback is because it lets off so much steam your room will get very warm indeed and if you have no windows in the ironing room you will feel the heat and/or frizzed hair!!. But for me, that is a no brainer, I love this and have finally found a solution to my endless amount of ironing, a task I hated I actually now have come to like, and can do it in half the time. This is my game changer.

I opted for a standard iron because my last water tank caused major ironing issues but I was in for a great shock, this Tefal Express Protect was a joy to use. I usually stand for hours ironing, I would say a lot of my time is filling water to give me steam, but with the large water tank it lasted me to get through my chore, having simple controls was great because this product did everything without having to change temperature controls. The boost of steam got through the toughest of wrinkles in my jeans and made ironing a pleasure for thec1st time.

I loved it, my wife loved it .So much better than an iron.I found it to to be quicker and easier.Totally better result.

Didn't think I would like using the product as it is very bulky in appearance. I was amazed by the results once I understood how to use the product. It gets the creases out of things really easily and was very happy with the results.
