It left my hair really soft and moisturized.  I didn't feel like my hair had been stripped of its natural moisture.  I can't wait to purchase more products from this line.

It lathers up extremely well, and a nickel size goes a long way.
 It rinses well, with no left-over 
residue feel.
The look of the bottle is distinctive and the print (wording) is big large enough for easy reading.
I would recommend with a joining conditioner and moisturizing aftercare line.

Great Shampoo for 4C Hair

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like this wakati shampoo, and would possibly buy it again.  It's a good shampoo, not any more magical than all the other natural hair brands on the market, but good.  I have very coarse hair, so I would have loved to have tried the shampoo in combination with the conditioner.  Since I only received shampoo, and my hair HAS to have conditioner after washing, I'm not sure how much of the finished hair's softness and curl pattern can be attributed to the wakati shampoo.  It smells GREAT, I love the scent.  It had a decent consistency, bordering on the thin side as opposed to thick and creamy, but it lathered perfectly fine.  And it did make my hair and scalp feel very clean without being too harsh and drying.

I'd recommend it!

Clean wash

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a mother of 3 girls this is the perfect product for us! Its softening & moisturizing but cleanses our hair of all of the products we use. Its a nice change! This shampoo has a wonderful smell also. Excited to get more products from this brand.

Perfect products for us!

I am really disappointed in this shampoo/product. I waited for a second wash/usage before I gave my review, because I wanted to be fair and I wanted to give it a chance. I have 4b and mostly 4c hair, my hair is also low porosity and very densed. The very first time I washed my hair, my hair didn't take well to this product. I had to wash it a second time for my hair to feel managable, and even a third time on the firsrt try. One week later I washed my hair with this product again. After applying a nice amount of water to my hair, I applied this shampoo, but once again my hair did not respond well to this product. My hair felt like it had wax in it and was very filmy. I did use the moisturizer and the leave in conditioner, prior after my previous wash, so I might have used too much. However, I literally had to wash my hair 3 times for my hair to feel soft and clean. It does have a pleasant smell, and it did give my hair a nice shine afterwards, but it shouldn't take that many washes for my hair to soften, especially when I'm using a Black hair care product that claims to be for type 4 hair. The bottle isn't that big either. I really wanted to like this product for three reasons: 1) It was supposed to be for type 4 hair, 2) It's a Black Owned Company, and HBC Students Assisted in this product. That's the only reason I'm giving it 2 stars, but I had better luck with other hair care products. I would say, if you haven't tried it yet, try it for yourself. It may be okay for you, but it didn't do the job for my hair. I will not by this product again, it needs more work (in my opinion for 4c hair).
