I got this years and years back, when I had ombre blonde in my hair. It claims to reduce brassiness and to help brighten the blonde in your hair, but it didn't make any difference at all for me. I wish I could say different for any of the blonde shampoos but from the drugstore, they're all the same.
I tend to get brassy hair every once in a while because I bleach my hair blonde to hide the grays and make my mousy hair look better. However I end up with my hair looking a wierd color. I bought some of this Violet Crush for Blondes shampoo and within two shampoos with this, I had a really wonderful color instead of the brassy awful color. I knew it really looked good because I was getting compliments and people asking me if I had just gone to the Beauty Salon and had my hair done professionally. Besides all of that my hair felt cleaner and really really soft. I think that they must have some very good ingredients in their miracle product for hair. I love this product for sure!
I use this at least twice a week to keep my ash blonde hair from being brassy. It also seems to help camouflage the gray hair in my roots. Use it with the conditioner for soft hair.
This product does what it promises and on a budget! It helped to keep my hair from getting brassy and not being the beautiful blonde that I loved. I was using more expensive brands before I discovered this one but have switched to this product since it seems to do the same job and saves me money!

Good for the price
Great to use to keep the orange and brassiness out your blonde for the price. It's not as thick as other so I feel you need to use more but it also doesn't stain hands like others do. overall great.

Great For Toning, But It's Heavy
As a blonde, I use purple shampoo at least twice a week. This shampoo does a good job at taking at the brassiness, but I found it to weigh my hair down a bit. It has a decent scent, but a little strong for me personally. However, it has a great price point so it's hard to hate it. I would definitely use it again if my favorite wasn't available.
I recently went "hyper platinum" blonde. My hair started to look really brassy and yellow. I used John Frieda's Violet Crush for blondes Shampoo & Conditioner! I put in on for maybe 30 minutes before washing it out, and all of the brassy tones were gone! I continue to use it with my routine washing and I have yet to see any brassy or yellow tones come back!

For any hair color
I don't have blond hair but, I have the perfect friend to give it to try. Also in the box featured 10in1 hair primer by @evahairnyc I haven't heard of hair primer before.
This isn’t my first pick for a purple shampoo but I wouldn’t not use it either. I was expecting better quality and results but it doesn’t work as well as the others that I have tried.
I have tried purple conditioners in the past and I can't say that this stood above others the scent was ok. I didn't feel that it kept that freshly washed smell very long after use. For the conditioner specifically, I wasn't impressed I needed to use leave in conditioner and a mask to get the silkiness back. In terms of reducing brassiness, when used in conjunction with the John Frieda purple shampoo, I noticed less yellowing as soon as my hair dried but even by the next day, it didn't seem to last. I actually would reuse this product again if I planned to purple wash my hair multiple times during the week and the low cost would make that doable. But, if given the choice of a higher end purple conditioner that would keep my hair softer & less brassy longer, I would probably not choose this product first.

The best
I’ve tried numerous purple shampoos to obtain the best cool tones this by far out weighs them all I’ve tried many pricey ones.
I have never used any type of toner shampoo on my hair after I've bleached it. This was the first and best brand that I have used. It smelled really nice, leaves my hair soft and manageable. A product worth every single penny spent.
