Great choice
The bread is soft but sturdy enough to hold everything together without falling apart. They toast nicely with a slightly crisp on the outside while soft on the inside. Great everyday buns if you want something other than basic white bread.

A Deliciously Soft Bun, But the 'Sourdough' Name is Misleading I picked up the Lewis Bake Shop Sourdough Half Pack Burger Buns mainly because I love the tangy taste of true sourdough. However, I have to agree with some of the other reviewers: these do not have the classic sourdough flavor or chewy texture. If you're looking for that recognizable sour kick, you will be disappointed, as these lean much closer to a sweet, buttery, and incredibly soft roll like a hybrid of Hawaiian bread and a premium potato bun. Despite the confusing name, I found them to be an excellent bun overall. They are wonderfully pillowy and maintained their softness even a couple of days after opening. Crucially, they were sturdy enough to handle a juicy, overloaded burger without tearing or getting soggy, which is the ultimate test for a good burger foundation. This is a review for the Lewis Bake Shop Sourdough Half Pack Burger Buns. There are four buns per package. These buns don’t look, smell, or taste like sourdough. They taste more like a cross between a Hawaiian bread and a potato bread. They’re super soft and slightly sweet. They are a solidly good bun. If you really want sourdough taste and texture I wouldn’t recommend these, but if you want a really tasty bun, I’d definitely try these out!

Buns are ... meh
I received the Lewis Bake Shop Sourdough half pack burger buns as a free sample. The buns were good, nothing exceptional. The buns weren't thin, meaning it didn't break apart easily. The best part about the product was the half pack. Im not sure if its meant to be sold like that or its because I got it as a sample.

Was very good but the TWANG that we search for in sour dough wasn’t very strong but the bun was beautifully soft and great size for burgers highly recommend will probably try a different flavor from this brand

Odd aftertaste
The packet is the perfect size. The buns themselves were nice, good size, and the taste was ok. The aftertaste was what I had an issue with. It was a bitter aftertaste, that threw me off. I sadly won't be interested in buying it once these run out.

A great twist on a burger bun
I usually always use plain white buns for my burgers, but I'm definitely going to be buying these more often to mix it up. The sourdough is a perfect complement to my burgers with whatever toppings anyone wants to add, and I'd love to try other kinds of foods like pulled chicken, pork, or sloppy joes on them. They're so soft and delicious.
