Party Size Twinkies® Baking Kit

Honestly, I was a little weirded out of the thought of a giant Twinkie. In the end I made it for my family and I and it was hands down the most amazing thing I have ever eaten. This is a must have for any special occasion, especially holidays. If you put your mind to it and use your imagination the possibilities are endless. Party Size Twinkies Baking Kit is great for any age, because it will make you feel just like a kid again when you get super excited.

The Party sized Twinkie baking kit is a really fun idea. It comes with its own pan and the Twinkie cake mix as well as the mix for the filling. It requires 5 small eggs , some vegetable oil, water, and heavy cream. Our cake took about 55 minutes to bake, then it has to cool for at least 15 minutes in the pan on a rack. Then you have to carefully cut squares on the bottom of the cake, you don't want the cuts to go all the way through, then you have to remove the squares and trim the edges, fill the holes with the filling, and put the squares back on you need to make sure the cut squares go back in the same spot they were cut from press them firm and flip the cake over onto a plate and serve. That is more time consuming than I would have thought and the cake itself did not to us taste much like a Twinkie. The cream filling was quite good. Overall it was a fun baking project ,however it is time consuming and has an ok taste.

Growing up I always loved Twinkies, so what a better way to celebrate with a Party size Twinkie cake. So easy to make and so delicious. If you follow the directions it comes out just like it should a giant Twinkie. Really tasty lots of filling.

When opening the package, I promptly cut my finger on the sharp edge of the pan (like a very deep paper cut). There are 2 bags of ingredients in the kit but they aren't labeled which is the cake mix and which is the cream filling. I guessed correctly that the larger bag was the cake mix but an inexperienced baker might have switched the two. The instructions say to add 1 1/4 OZ. water to the cake mix (a little more than 1/8 cup). After adding this and all the other ingredients, the batter was so thick that my mixer couldn't even mix properly. I think it SHOULD have read 1 1/4 CUPS, so I added more water and mixed as directed. The cream filling took longer to mix than the directions stated, then I had MORE THAN HALF LEFT after filling the cake. My cake split at the top after filling. The texture was heavy like a pound cake, not at all the light, spongy texture of a Twinkie - also the worst tasting cake mix I've ever eaten (odd after taste). Didn't look or taste like a Twinkie.

I am not usually an experient baker however this cake turned out great! I mean it looks and taste so good! The instructions are clear and so easy. All you need are just few ingredients and it is one of the easiest things to bake of all times! My family loves it, i only wished it requires lesser amount of cream however as an occasional treat this is unbeatable. I absolutely recommend

The kit was really fun...instructions easy to follow & the pan was great...like a giant Twinkie which brought us back to childhood...the cake was moist & the filling good...overall it’s something that you would buy for the novelty & absolutely fun factor

The Party Size Twinkies Baking Kit is a fantastically fun product. It was so easy to make that a child could help. It was so much fun revealing the mystery of how the creme gets into a Twinkie...but on a grand scale! Plus it was yummy!

When I received this we were so excited to try it! My least favorite thing about it was the amount of ingredients I had to go out and purchase. It required heavy cream and 5 eggs which seems like a lot to me. I followed instructions and greased the bottom and sides of the pan and it still stuck in some places and tore apart. Once it was cooked, you have to cut the squares for the fillings to go into. This was a task as it just fell apart and ended up being more bread than anything else. Which was fine as I liked it more than the filling anyways but there has to be an easier way to accomplish this. It just made a mess.

We could not get the cream filling to thicken even though we followed the directions perfectly. Tasted great just runny.

It was a great baking kit that would have been a little better if you could have injected filling into it instead of cutting it

1) need to CLEARLY label each package 2) the time the directions call for whipping the cream is SO wrong. I took the instructions to be whipped by hand. It did not work and did not thicken until I had someone much stronger than me do the whipping part. IF I bought this, I would use an electric mixer and I believe that should be an option in the directions. 3) there was WAAAAY too much cream left over. WAAAAAAAY too much. 4) it did not taste like a Twinkie, but it was good and moist. 5)provide ideas on how to use the pan after the Twinkie has been made.

I made this twinkies cake with my 8 year old granddaughter and she loved it , it was so easy to make and it was nice that it came with the pan

Pros: A fun project for kids Cons: The packages were not clearly labeled to know which was the cream or batter, the measurements were odd amounts in ounces that needed to be converted into tablespoons, cutting the pieces at the bottom of the cake and then adding cream was not only messy but not too effective, the consistency of the cream was not light and the texture of the cake was hard and wasn't sweet (more like a bland dry cornbread), however the cream was overly sweet so it sort of balanced. Overall not the soft light texture or taste of a real Twinkie.

The cake batter provided only filled the MONSTER Twinkie pan a little over a quarter. The filling provided was enough to fill it and ice it with some left over. Proportions are off.
