Restart Button Scalp Exfoliator

This arrived at the perfect time, what with the current colder weather taking a turn on the scalps in our household. Our skin in general has been much more dry, and our scalps are suffering as well. The Restart Button Scalp Exfoliator is gentle but so effective! It scrubs away dead skin that would otherwise flake off and stay in the hair. My husband has even used it and seen an improvement with his seasonal dandruff!

I received Hairitage Restart Button Scalp Exfoliator to try out and give my honest opinion about. The directions on the bottle say to section your hair before applying the product. It doesn't state how big or small those sections of hair need to be. Since I have thick hair, I made smaller sections. The product was easy to apply but having waist length hair, the applicator kept getting tangled in my hair. It was hard to do small circular motions with it, without my hair trying to tangle in knots around it. The product and the applicator did feel refreshing to my scalp while I was using it. When I tried to rinse it out, it was difficult to get all the exfoliator out of my hair. It took some time to get it all rinsed out without feeling any of the grittiness left in my hair. After letting my hair dry, I did notice a huge difference in the dandruff and dryness of my scalp. After one use, I could no longer see flakes or have an itchy scalp, It definitely does what it says it will do.

This is a good product, but I wouldn't buy it without some changes. The applicator cap doesn't work well. The product clumps in the bottom of the spikes. The spikes tangled in my hair. I have a scalp brush that I like. I used it along with the product. It worked much better. The product itself has some issues too. It smelled nice, and seemed to do what it was supposed to. However, the "grit" used to help exfoliate the scalp, was very hard to shampoo out. I almost ran out of hot water trying to rinse it all out.

My scalp feels cleaner. It is easy to use with the scrubbing brush.

I love the scalp exfoliator. It really works. My scalp has never felt so clean and I don’t have dry flakes throughout my hair like I normally do with cold dry winter. The little brush on the bottle feels amazing. I was worried it would make my hair full of tingles but it did not. It smells good. I so glad I got to try it for free.

Only used once. It really dried my hair out and while washing it felt straw-like. However, after a deep conditioning hair mask it was almost back to normal. Definitely is clarifying and feels good on the scalp, but much too drying for my already dry hair.

This is a unique product that has a brush exfoliator in the cap. When I tried the brush on my dry hair (before breaking the seal to let the product ooze into the center of the brush), it worked well to massage my scalp and bring up some dandruff and product build-up flakes. However, in the shower was a different story. The product is too thick to even squeeze through the hole and dispense on the brush without squeezing so hard your hands cramp. My hair is pretty short and chin length, but when wet, the brush tangled it badly. The exfoliating grains are large and were hard to rinse out of my hair and clean out of my tub. It did work and my scalp was flake-free, but it took forever and was not worth the effort.

I used the Restart Button Scalp Exfoliator as directed. It scraped against my head to exfoliate, but not in a painful way. The massaging exfoliator end felt nice and relaxing against my scalp as I used it. The product smelled really nice, not overly sweet or chemically strong. My hair and head felt nice and clean after using the Restart Button Scalp Exfoliator, though I can't say that I noticed a tremendous difference than after a normal shampoo.

The HAIRITAGE restart button Scalp Exfoliator smells really good. It's made with willow bark extract, witch hazel, marigold and apricot seed powder. I like the scrubbing applicator. It feels like your getting a spa treatment for your scalp! It scrubs away the build up on your scalp. I love that the Restart Button Scalp Exfoliator is made with natural ingredients and it doesn't have any harsh chemicals in it.

This was the best feeling for my scalp. I felt like it was clean.

This product was so easy to use! Literally just squeeze some into the applicator and circle massage it into your scalp. It does have a very grainy texture, I was worried I’d have sand stuck in my hair for days, but it was very easy to rinse out. I shampooed and conditioned as usual and feel my after result is wonderful!!! My scalp feels clean and looks exfoliated. I’d definitely recommend this product for anyone with dandruff issues. I’ll be using this again as the winter months bring in the cold dry weather.

Though the product looks and smells luxurious, I found the exfoliating brush to be much too harsh. It irritated my scalp, leaving it sore for a few days after using it. I also found it difficult to maneuver the large bottle and exfoliator through my long, wet hair. It was awkward to try and squeeze the product out, because it was very thick. I loved the idea of it but it needs some work.

This stuff is pretty great. I love the applicator and I have long thick hair and it was easy to use. The applicator felt great on my scalp and I felt like it really did do what it was supposed to. I noticed a difference in my scalp immediately and I do not have as much dandruff after using it one time. Would recommend.

It was a little hard the first time I used it, especially to spread it evenly on the scalp as I have long hairs but after the second time I got the hang of it. Leaves scalp refreshed and clean. Great scent.
