Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo

I have a very oily scalp, this product worked so well for it that I no longer have to wash my hair everyday. Shu Uemura Cleansing Oil Shampoo had a very balanced fragrance which was not overpowering at all. A small amount of the product was enough for a single wash leaving my hair very smooth.

Always looking for a clean, working cleansing shampoo to clarify my oily scalp. Normally I’m quite greasy and so I tested this shampoo on behalf of Home Tester and I can tell you it doesn’t strip the good oils but enough so that you can go a few days without a wash. It leaves your hair smelling good for days. I worked two days outside in the cold snow and my hair stayed smelling really nice.

I love this shampoo! My hair gets oily quickly but with this shampoo I’m able to wash my hair every second day. I only use this shampoo max 2 times a week but it has helped in oil control for me. Also does not fade coloured hair

At first I really enjoyed this shampoo. I was worried because oils and my hair don’t mix, but it felt amazing, and I was like “Wow, I might purchase this!” But after the third/fourth use, my hair is weighed down and greasy, and feels horrible on my second and third days. My curls were almost stringy. I was really sad to see that happened, I did a clarifying treatment and it was back to normal.

I love this shampoo! I have long thick and wavy hair with very scalp. I have yet to find a shampoo that is compatible with my hair and skin type but this one might be a good match for me! Even though it says oil in the name of the product, it did not weigh my hair down. The formulation is wonderful that it cleans your hair and scalp without drying it out. After using it a couple of times I have noticed that my scalp is less irritated, flaky and my hair is less frizzy. There is a slight fragrance that does not stay after showering. The packaging is clear which I love because you know exactly if you are running low without opening the bottle. I love the pump system as well but I do find that with my type of hair, I have to pump 2-3x to fully cover my hair. I will definitely purchase again!

Overall shampoo felt very cleansing and rinses completely. Scent is light and not over powering.

I have used shu uemura face product before but I have never tried their hair product line. When I received this product, I was very excited about trying it out. I used it twice a week for a couple weeks and I really wanted to love it. However, I feel like the shampoo doesn’t lather up compare to other shampoos on the market, maybe it’s because it’s a cleansing oil shampoo. My hair doesn’t feel that it’s clean thoroughly and it feels heavy after washing.

It smells really good! I did find it is super soft on my hair but after a few uses, that I only would need a small dollop. I feel it would be best for thicker, more coarse hair than my super fine hair- unless I have a load of products in. Ultimately, it is too oily for me but would recommend it to others with thick hair.

I used the shampoo for two weeks as specified and made sure that this product was used twice every week. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. I expected a product that cost as much as this does would have some sort of effect on my hair and make it look shiny and healthier. Unfortunately I couldn't tell the difference between this shampoo and my $5 shampoo. Not only was I disappointed but my bangs ended up getting greasy which was a big turn-off for me. I will continue trying to use it over the next month and see if there are any further improvements and update again if I notice but as of right now I feel like that's unlikely.

I really enjoyed this product a lot. It was hit for me from start to finish. First off the shampoo smells incredible without being too perfumed. It did a great job of cleaning my hair and my hair felt so soft afterwards. I will be using it as a staple in my hair care routine from now on!

Shampoo was great at leaving my hair feeling clean and moisturized without being oily.

This is a great cleansing shampoo! I find you need to really rub it together in your hands to get it to foam a bit in order to spread it around your scalp. The scent is very flower like, but it is nice. It sticks to your hair and you can smell it throughout the day which I like. You are to only use this product up to twice a week so you need to use your everyday shampoo in between! My hair always feels nice and fresh and like the weeks products I’ve used has been washed out. I would recommend to try it yourself !

I’ve always had super oily hair but it’s a struggle to find shampoo that cleans without completely removing healthy oils and stripping my colour. This totally did the trick! It left my hair feeling clean without feeling stripped. The scent was also fresh but mild which I appreciate! It’s also a generous size which for the price is important. Would definitely recommend this!
