Homepride Cook In Chilli Sauce Jar
I tried this cooking sauce as an alternative to my usual supermarket packet mix and I have to say it tasted quite good. More fresher and less dry texture, but not enough heat for me, so I had to add extra Chilli Powder, which is fine. In addition the amount of kidney beans in the jar was not enough , so I also added half a tin. I usually also add extra onion and peppers to my chilli as I like plenty of vegetables. Overall I would try it again, and it could replace my packet mix.

Homepride
This is possibly the best chilli sauce I've ever had. Put in slow cooker with pork and beef mince, red onions, pepper and a jar of homepride chilli sauce and it came out so rich and tasty. Fed a family of 4, big portion too. This will be a weekly staple on my shopping list from now on. Gone are the watery jars of sauce, this pouch is packed with flavour. Spoon over an oven cooked jacket potato or basmati rice, gorgeous.

Terrible
This was awful - it tasted really strange like a metal taste to it - i didnt like it at all - the lid on the jar was horrendous to get off i couldn't remove it - it was really welded on. The overall sauce was really thin and runny - and the taste was awful - unfortunately this was my onion i do like Home pride products and i have used them alot but this one is not for me. The overall taste and consistency was awful - i had to thicken the sauce up myself - this was also a medium hot and it was like eating tomatoe soup not hot at all not even a like kick - sorry guys i dont recommend this at all

Flavourful
This sauce isn't overly spicy which is great for bringing out the flavour of the other ingredients in it. I'm not a big fan of too much spice so this sauce is perfect. It smells good while cooking, and you can taste the tomato which is nice and sweet, this adds that little bit extra flavour over the spiciness. It is quick and easy to cook with and counts as one of your five a day which is a great bonus in comfort food. The one thing that would make it greater is chunkier bits of veg in it to add to the texture, other than that it makes a pleasant meal for the whole family.

Decent for quick fix
I would use this sauce for a quick lunch if I don't have time to cook. It's very easy to make and it's good enough but I wouldn't substitute my usual chilli con carne home made. For me this sauce it's not hot enough for chilli con carne but it's quite tasty and healthy

Easy chilli dinner.
Lovely mild chilli sauce. Just brown the mince add the sauce and easy peas mid week dinner. Great taste.

Bland and tasteless. A big let down
I was looking forward to trying this as I do like a nice chilli once in a while. Unfortunately the product was a big let down. The sauce is easy to use, is thick and has a few nice texture chunks but they're the only positive things I can think to say. I'm sorry but it just tastes bland. I thought at first maybe the spice kick will take a few mouthfuls to kick in, but the more I ate the more bland it was. It does smell of chilli con carne whilst cooking but I couldn't find anything similar whilst eating. I gave the rest of my food to the dog. She really liked it so hey that's another positive.

Delicious chilli sauce.
It is ideal tasting chilli sauce. Great for family meal. It is not too spicy even for my children. Free from artificial colours. I added red kidney beans, lean minced beef to the sauce and served it with rice-very delicious. Highly recommend.

Quick and easy meal!
If you are looking for a quick easy meal you really can't go far wrong. This is so easy to prepare as only need to add the mince beef. For me the overall taste was quite nice but not as good as home made. Great though for convenience.

Absolutely tasty with a hint of spice
The Homepride cook in chilli sauce, did exceeded my expectation. A minimum thickness sauce, that has a nice smell when opening the jar . It does have a few red kidney beans in it , more will be perfect for my taste. The chilly hint it is mild at the beginning, but while eating this intensity a little , still no to hot which is perfect. I used it for tortellini with onion and chicken breast and my kids absolutely love it . I jar is enough for 500g of tortellini. Lovely dinner

Good chilli souce
Homepride is a tasty chilli sauce. It tastes good. Nice for dinner for the whole family. It has a nice texture. Nice tomato smell.

Great
Homepride Cook In Chilli Sauce Jar 485g Nice size jar easy instructions how to make and use pleased it was low in Saturates and fat. Just mixed with mincd beef and i cooked it for 10-15 min on a low heat thought had nice bit of sauce to go with some rice i made reaaly enjoyed the flavours not to spicy.
