Great alternative for a change
As a non meat eater its good to get an alternative that has a bit more texture than other veggie burger type products.This tasted great , its not like meat so I'm not sure meat eaters would like but makes a difference so is a good alternative if your looking for something different.

Revolting
A friend who is a vegetarian got these for us to eat. They were absolutely revolting, tasted synthetic and even my dog wouldn't eat it

Don't cook it on a BBQ
I bought some of this for a BBQ last summer, and it turned into charcoal really quickly, and it tasted awful, however, I did try it again a couple of weeks ago and cooked it in a pan with some, liquid smoke, onions and peppers, and it was really lovely. Yes it's not meat, it's an alternative, but it's one of the best ones out there.

I'll eat anything but maybe not this unless I'm starving
As a long-term vegan, I've seen a real range of 'fake meat' products, some similar to meat, some not trying to be... This product is just strange, too similar visually, and then kind of disgusting texture and flavor wise. They also shrink massively.

Great alternative
I have been a vegan for a number of years and like trying different products. This steak is a great alternative. The texture is similar. The taste isn't like beef but not too bad either. Makes great burgers.

Not impressed
I am a vegetarian and dislike meaty textures so this wasn't for me unfortunately as too meaty and a strange taste, may suit others though.

I like it
This product has the look and feel of meat, but the taste is not beefy. However, it is a taste that I really like. It has a savoury, salty taste and is very moist but is still firm. It has a robust bite and chew, but does not leave you with that bland bit of leather that you can't quite swallow!! It's good with roast spuds and gravy, and also with chips and peas.

Pleasantly surprised
I bought one when it was reduced in price and was sceptical it would be any good. Had it with chips, fried mushrooms and an egg. Lovely. Happy to now buy them full price.

Nice
Tried this a few years ago when I first went vegan and really enjoyed it. Nice with chips and plum tomatoes, not quite the same taste and texture as steak but A nice alternative

Hit and miss
I've tried this a few times now. When it's cooked nicely it is a decent replacement for a meaty slab of protein but I find it can catch and burn very easily, leaving a plasticky, acrid taste. Seems to have a very low smoke point also, so perhaps 'low and slow' is the answer here!

Tasty but odd texture
The texture is a bit strange yes, but it is tasty. I wouldn’t try and use it as a steak replacement but on a Sunday roast, it is perfect
