Mainstays Hanger shoulder shaper is an interesting product. They are lightweight and snapped onto my plastic hangers easily. The one thing I noticed as soon as I opened the box was a very strong chemical plastic smell. I had to air them out for a few days before I tried them. Button-down shirts and sweaters hung nicely from them. They are not so good with sleeveless. The package was for a 5 pack with is a nice size to start out with and the packaging was not wasteful.  I think this is an interesting product but not necessary for my wardrobe.

These shoulder shapers are the product I never knew I needed! They’re super easy to install and keep the hanger from causing those terrible bulges in the shoulder area of your clothing.

I use these shoulder shapers for my husbands work uniforms.  He is a police officer and is required to have his uniforms cleaned and pressed and wrinkle free.  I have found that these shoulder shapers do a great job at maintaining the shape/presentation of his uniform shirts.  They were really easy to snap on to my plastic hangers, did not fall off and do the job they are meant for.  I think these would also be perfect for suits and blazers.  I highly recommend these.

I tried these with my husband's extra wide neck tshirts. While the shapers kept the shirts on the hangers the shapers themselves wouldn't stay snapped on the hanger at the wide part of the hanger.

The shoulder shapers worked well on my clothes and helped by item keep their shape. The only drawback is they are a little bulky in the closet.

It is a great product, although I am not sure one that I would use regularly.  It definitely make things take up more room in the closet.  However, these are easy to apply and very useful if you are worried about the shoulders of your shirts or dresses being stretched out/misshaped.

Fun little closet assistant

These are great for sweaters or shirts that already stay on hangers.  They do eliminate the points on the shoulda and leave a smooth finish.  These aren’t too good for wide neck sweaters and they tend to slide off.  An import eke t would be to put foam or a non slip surface on the top.  Most of my sweater fit fine and have a great shape on the shoulders now.  Great for polo shirts and thin fabrics as well.

I love the fact that the shoulder shapers are snap on, so I can take them off if I need to. They are simple to get on and off. They help keep the shape of my shirts so they stay looking like they did when I bought them. I have not had any issues with them sliding off of the shapers as of the time I am writing this. I highly recommend these.

I received the Mainstay Hanger Shoulder Shaper to try and am impressed o. How they work. They are easy to use and make sure you don’t get the hanger marks on your clothes.

Shoulder shappers

It's not fit most hangers I have, but I was able to find few. While putting it on it fell off few times, before I finally secure them. Overall it's doing it's purpose but I guess easier to buy wide hanger. I might buy more, but it will depend on the price.

Good for clothes

The Mainstays hanger shoulder shaper presents a solution to an existing problem in my household so I was excited to try them. I have several oversized sweaters that do not fit on a standard hanger because they slide off so I used a shoulder shaper on each side of my existing plastic hanger. I found the concept to be creative but the execution was a bit clumsy. The top part attached securely to the hanger but the bottom side did not want to stay locked to the hanger, especially when I went to put my sweater on top of it. I wound up having to hang the hanger and slowly ease my sweater onto the hanger shoulder shaper and then relock it into place.

Creative idea

The shoulder shaper is a nice option to have, it adds some length to the hanger. The clothes still slip off of it at time, it would be nice to have something on the shaper that will prevent that from happening. It fits most hangers and most shapes, but it is a bit tricky to have it stay on the hanger.

The mainstay hanger is now a mush have for me. It didn’t stretch my clothes all weird or leave little shoulder dimples. I am impressed and can recommend these to everyone.

I like to buy heavy wooden hangers with wide shoulders for many of my husband's clothes, especially suits & jackets. They help prevent that telltale 'floop' in the shoulders. But I don't buy them for myself because they are expensive. Mainstays Plastic Shoulder Shapers seemed like a great & affordable alternative! I received a box of 5 pairs of Shoulder Shapers. There were no instructions included, but 'installation', if you could call it that, is easy and intuitive. They will fit most plastic hangers;  just snap them into place on either side, then carefully place your garment over the hanger. I say "carefully" because the problem with these shapers is that they move around and slide down the shoulders of your hanger. They are pretty cheaply made and, while clever, aren't engineered for quality. They might be fine for hanging clothes to dry, but not great for long-term closet storage. All in all, these are a pretty average solution to a common problem. Clever idea, cheap execution.

For an inexpensive item it does as it should. It is cheaply made and I wish it was a little longer or made of a different material, but overall it does help to smooth out and shape the shoulders.

Smoother shoulders

Mainstays Hanger Shoulder Shaper are convenient and easy to use. They snapped right onto my hangers that I already had and provided extra support to those slippery clothes that just done stay put. It has not been long enough to see if they will leave a dent in my clothes but so far so good. They are wide so they do take up more space then just a regular hanger ( about the space of 4 or 5 hangers) so I recommend these for you delicate or special occasion clothes. Great for my lace and things that need a bit more support. I did receive these for testing purposes but all opinions and thoughts are my own.

This Mainstays Hanger Shoulder Shaper is really handy! It's wider and now, I’m hanging laundry to dry with confidence. My clothes looks nice and presentable.  I need to buy these more. It's very useful.

Efficient, cost effective option for hangers. Does exactly as advertised. Down side is the color and the thickness in my opinion. I wish it was a little thinner.

These hangers are awesome can hang blouses or tshirts and they keep there shape and also do not strech out

These hangers are pretty inexpensive and you can buy them at Wal-Mart.  They are durable and clothes do hang nicely on them.

Good quality

If you haven't invested much in closet organization--still have the old plastic tube ones--these shoulder shapers will keep your nicer things looking better in the shoulders. For jackets or sweaters, it is important to maintain the shape of the shoulder. These snap on pretty easily and do seem to stay in place. 

However, most people I know have upgraded their closet hangers. I have nice wooden hangers for my heavy jackets which are shaped in the shoulders already; I use the thin velvety ones that came out more recently for most other items; and I've gone all Marie Kondo and fold sweaters and other items that might show shoulder-sag if hung. I do not have more than a handful of the old fashion plastic hangers so I would not have use for this product. 

They just do not work on most hangers. On the plastic hangers they will snap onto, they take up a lot more space (width-wise) in your closet. I would suggest upgrading your hangers or folding items instead

I cannot stand it when I hang up my sweaters (or shirts) and go to wear the and I can't becuase the hanger they were on left my shoulders looking like I was wearing the sweater/shirt with the hanger sitll in it. My sweaters/shirts lay nicely on the hanger and when I take them off, they look the same as when I hung them up, no more hanger wearing look or something coming out of my shoulders look
