Russell Hobbs Cook@Home Food Steamer

I would recommend the Russell Hobbs Cook @ Home Food Steamer to people who lobe healthy eating. The steamer itself is so easy to use with instructions easy to follow. During the test, I noticed that the cooking times were too short and the food were not cooked the specified time. It is better to leave them in the appliance for a few minutes longer and wear gloves when opening the cooking containers to avoid getting burnt by the steam. It wS positively noticed that all food kept their own taste after the cooking and convince also some consistency.

We first tested the Russell Hobbs steamer with home made dumplings. It was fantastic as we were able to cook a large amount of dumplings. Plus keep them hot while eating a few at a time. It was also handy to cook a complete meal of fish vegetables and quinoa all on individual levels. A great steamer that we will use often. My youngest thinks the steamer is awesome.

The steamer is a great addition to any kitchen. Having the three tiers has made it easy to cook an entire meal with minimal clean up. Cooking rice has been fantastic and allowed me to get rid of my small rice cooker. Being able to also steam vegetables at the same time have been perfect. I also like being able to add water without having to disturb the steamer and lift lids. It was very quick to heat up allowing the food to be cooked faster. I would have preferred that the baskets not needed to be used in a particular order. It would have personally been more convenient for me to be allowed to use any basket in any order.

Steaming is my preferred method of cooking vegetables, but I find it a hassle to cook them on the stove and make sure they're cooked to perfection, so I've just been zapping them in the microwave. I used this to cook raw chicken tenderloins for a curry, which I usually do in the oven but often overcook them, which I then cut into pieces. I was honestly shocked at how easy and stress free using this steamer was! I simply put the chicken in, turned the timer on (I gave it almost half an hour, unsure of how long it would take) and when the timer dinged it was cooked all the way through and juicy. It's so easy and the plastic steamer sections are so easy to wash, too! I also cooked frozen baby peas in the steamer instead of adding them to the frypan as I usually do, and my son said they were perfect, as usually they're too hard. He said there was nothing wrong with the curry at all which is amazing as he's very particular about how his food is. This steamer is now my favourite appliance!

I was impressed with the Russel Hobbs Cook@Home Food Steamer. I liked the way that the baskets fitted into each other for storage. They were then labelled 1,2,3 to show in which order to place them when putting them back on the steamer. The lid had a handy handle for lifting it off the steamer. It started rapidly and you could see the condensation as it quickly started heating. I really liked the spouts on the side where I could add extra water if needed - which meant I didnt have to take off all the baskets to add more. The extra drip tray was convenient so food particles did not drop into main heating element. I would definitely consider buying this product when needing to purchase a steamer. It did the job well!

Dissapointed with the quality and usefulness of this product, when expectation was high. Having previously (20 years ago)had Russell Hobbs appliances and this brand back then being a quality and more expensive option because of this, I was looking forward to using this product. Combined with my previous experiences and the new technology advances in steam cooking, I expected a product that would compete with the functions of a steam oven without the costs. I was instead using an electric steamer that was more like a stovetop steamer with functionality, yet required bench space and electricity to work. The three tied system gives additional space yet the rice insert is smaller so doesn't allow you to cook enough. A larger, squared option with three solid drawers, glass fronts a water holding area that allows steam to be created without messy filling/cleaning the base area. Even a steam/air fryer multiple purposes within the one appliance without having to buy a new expensive oven

I have found the steamer easy to use and very handy to prepare meals with the multi functional baskets. Different veggies can be added to the various baskets to ensure that everything is cooked in a timely manner. It has been fantastic for steaming rice with perfect results achieved every time (and no rice sticking to the saucepan is a bonus!). The only drawback I have is with the limited bench and cupboard space in my kitchen and it does take up quite a bit of space. Thank you for the opportunity to test this product. It has encouraged me to steam more veggies adding healthy sides to the family meals.

I absolutely love the Russell Hobbs Cook@Home Food Steamer because I love being able to see the food cooking and being able to separate different foods makes cooking (and cleaning) easier. Separating each food also helps them keep their own taste. The timer is awesome and helps stop me over cooking my food. It is so easy to use even the kids are cooking tea now!

Loved how it had levels, as we try and eat healthy in our family. Meat on one level, veggies on the others.

Out of the box the product was a lot smaller/narrower than I expected which is ok given it has 3 tiers that gradually get bigger, I like that they nest so it would save a lot of storage space. It produces steam in no time at all (about min) vs pot on the stove or rice cooker, and the handy timer and water indicator means I don't have to constantly watch it. Yesterday I made homemade baos in it and the tiers meant I could start steaming and not have to make a tray load whilst waiting for the water to boil on the stove, it was also super efficient in the morning to re-steam the baos for my kids lunches. Negatives - the first tier is a bit small (can only fit 4 baos), the base of the tier baskets warped a little after the first use and I hand washed them, the container provided is quite small - can fit a pomfret head off but could not make enough rice for our small family, and the overall shape makes it hard to find containers that will fit without wasting space.

The Russell Hobbs Cook@Home Food Steamer is fantastic. Great large capacity and super quick to start steaming. All the steaming compartments are dishwashable which is super convenient. Love love love this appliance, so easy to cook a whole meal in one go. Water gauge on front makes ensuring it never runs dry super easy as well as easy refil ports on side. FANTASTIC !! Highly recommend.

I love this steamer! I love that you can steam multiple food items at once with its 3 levels. My dumplings and veggies steamed to perfection. The only con would be that it's a tad bulky so if you have a small kitchen, this could take up a lot of space.

This is a fantastic product for easy rice cooking, steaming of veggies for meals and cooking for large gatherings. It works well, is easy to clean and keeps things simple.

This appliance is easy to use and very quick to heat up. You can fit so many different vegetables and foods in this steamer at once and also cook rice too at the same time. Healthy way to cook! Also is very easy to clean. Happy with this steamer

I loved the steamer, using it enhanced the flavour and texture of the vegetables amd had my family coming back for more. I liked how I could chop the veges and chicken and put it in and walk away.
