AVEENO® Daily Moisturising Body Cleansing Oil

My 6 year old daughter suffers with ezecma and aveeno has always been the one brand that has agreed with her skin, so as such Aveeno does have a special place in my heart. Although I’m lucky not to suffer with ezecma my skin, especially in winter, is dry and sometimes itchy. I was happy to receive this product to test out as I knew i wouldn’t be disappointed. I loved that it’s so much quicker to lather this all over your skin whilst still in the shower then to use a moisturiser. I worried that rinsing the oil off would remove the effectiveness but it really doesn’t. Once dried and dressed your skin feels smooth and soft with a slight sheen on the surface. Lovely. The only downside for me is that oils can be a bit messy if spilled and make your bathtub so so slippery. In my opinion this really is insignificant compared to the ease and efficiency of the product. Give it a try!

I have used cleansing oils before and if I were to compare, the Aveeno one seems a bit too thin. When you pour it in your hands feels too liquidy, however once you use it , it’s rich and luxurious on your skin. Once you wash it off, skin remain moisturised and soft. The smell is lovely, a strong oaty smell.

Aveeno Cleansing Oil has a moisturising capacity you don’t usually find in similar products. It smells amazing and leaves the skin soft and improved from the first use. It is an excellent shower oil and I would recommend it to anyone who has a dry skin problem.

Effective cleansing oil, that helps to moisturise the skin. Does not foam. You need quite a lot, but it's a nice product. It has a neutral scent.

This product had an interesting small which I soon got used to.The product was quite runny so it was very easy to use too much,also it didn't lather at all so I found it difficult to use on a body puff. I didn't notice it making a huge difference to my skin ended up applying it to my body with my hand but this didn't really make me feel clean. I wouldn't buy this again as it is quite pricey and very easy to get through the bottle too quickly. I would be interested in trying other products though as I think it is just the texture and lack of foaming that I struggled with.

I was so excited to try the Aveeno Daily moisturising oil. As soon as it arrived I checked what it smelled like! I have to say that I was impressed by the subtlety of the scent. Almond and a savoury oaty smell. Very pleasant. On using the product for the first time I could feel just how moisturising this oil was. It doesn’t lather or bubble like other cleansing products so I was unsure as to how clean I would feel when dry. I have to say that my skin, especially in my arms, not only felt clean but super soft. Having used this product regularly for well over a week now, my skin is noticeably softer. I do have bumpy skin on the tops of my arms that is definitely softer but there is no different to the smoothness. This product overall is lovely. It’s fabulous as a moisturiser but not personally suitable for me due to needing some exfoliation on my skin. The only negative that I can share is that it does make the floor of the shower slightly slippery so using a mat may be an idea.

I enjoyed very much testing the Aveeno Cleansing oil. I have a very dry skin and each time a took a shower I needed to use a moisturiser because my skin was itchy and tight. After I used Aveeno cleansing oil I didn’t needed the moisturiser anymore and it never happened to me before so I was really impressed by this. It has a milky texture and the colour of olive oil. I wasn’t impressed by the smell but considering how amazing the oil is, it didn’t bothered me. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone who has dry skin. It does wonders.

Great for adding moisture to your skin. Fantastic at reducing dry elbows and knees.

It leaves your skin very soft. I even used it on my daughter who suffers from bendy dry skin in winter and it relieved the itchiness and dryness in no time. Only complaint from my little one was the smell (I personally liked it).

I love most of the Aveeno products but the Daily Moisturising Body Cleansing Oil is not my favourite. The packaging is sturdy and attractive with how-to-use directions on the back. However, the body oil is extremely runny and the first time I tried it (after shaking the bottle) lots of it ended up on the floor! But I massaged it into my skin and it went on easily and smoothly. It does have a smell which I find a bit unpleasant - a feint petrol/musty vanilla fragrance? - but a little goes a long way. Though it is quite hard to rinse off - my skin felt a bit slimy and slippery rather than soft - it did leave a film on the surface which I guess counteracts the drying effect of the water. It did not irritate my sensitive skin either! After a few days my skin felt more moisturised and not as tight/dry after showering but the towel I used to pat myself dry felt a bit dirty afterwards. And be careful - the oil made the floor very slippery! Worth a try but nothing amazing.

After using this product I am very happy, highly recommend and would definitely buy it! I feel that Daily Moisturising Body Cleansing Oil is a great addition to my daily routine. At first I wasn't so sure as I am not a big lover of oil but these smelt amazing, sunk into my skin very quickly and left it feeling super soft, especially on drier skin areas like my knee and elbows! The lovely smell the oil leaves behind on your skin (which reminds me of the smell of being in a nice spa) also stays with you making you smell good for hours!
