Horrid
This is just horrible. If you are vegan and choose not to have cheese then just don't. This tastes like....I don't even know... plastic and chemicals. It's one of the worst things I've put in my mouth. I'm not a good wastage person but this belongs in the bin
Not like the original
Bought this one accidentally and did not think it tasted like the original. Had a fake cheese flavour and the texture wasn't the same. We didn't end up eating it.
Plastic Cheese taste
Craft Vegan Mac & Cheese was disappointing. The “cheese” sauce had a plasticky texture and an artificial taste that I just couldn’t get past. I really wanted to like it, but it didn’t feel creamy or comforting like mac and cheese should. Unfortunately, not one I’d buy again.
What you would expect
It’s not great but not the worst thing ever. Kinda taste like chemicals but it’s really not that different compared to the regular Kraft Mac and Cheese. It’s handy for camping or as an emergency food. I wouldn’t buy it unless it was on sale.
Not the best
I really didn’t enjoy this - you could tell it was vegan and had a manufactured fake cheese taste. The texture wasn’t great either. Not something I would buy again. There are better vegan varieties out there.
Delicious!
Had this the first time recently and will definitely be buying again! Does have a very slight chemically taste but I suspect the non vegan one does also as I feel it is more a packaged thing than a vegan thing. Easy quick meal to make even in the microwave!
Close alternative
I was surprised to find this was 1 box instead of 2 -3 packet servings. It made a lot for one person, but could easily be a side dish for a few plates. The flavour was pretty close to the original version, same thickness and creaminess. I added some chilli oil for extra dimension in favour. Easy to make on stove top. Finally a great alternative for cealiacs that doesn’t comprise flavour or texture!
Tops the List!
Kraft’s Vegan Mac & Cheese has become my go-to comfort food, easily surpassing the original version. When prepared right, it delivers a creamy, cheesy flavor without the odd aftertaste that plagues some other vegan options. The spiral pasta cooks to the perfect size, capturing plenty of sauce in every bite, and the portion size is generous enough for a satisfying meal. It’s so moreish that stretching it out is a challenge—you’ll want seconds. This vegan mac is definitely in my top three, thanks to its smooth texture and rich taste, making it a standout among convenience foods.
Not good
We didn’t like the vegan version of Kraft Mac and Cheese. It wasn’t good in terms of either taste or texture. Being vegan the sauce was thin and lacked any creaminess at all. Couldn’t finish it and wouldn’t buy again.
