Economic cycles come and go and currently we are in a "save -not -spend" economy. So for all newlyweds / young parents this food processor is a must. We had a cuisinart food processor from Sam's Club years ago it was time find a replacement. Note *blades are sharp* so keep them away from little fingers! Processors = 10x better than blending. Before hummus was a thing we made our own following recipes from Oprah's Chef Rosie. Also, Pesto sauce with home grown basil leaves and pine nuts. Basil is the *easiest thing to grow* on a windowsill in summer. Make pesto and freeze 1 cup portions in zip lock bags. We made our own salsas, bases for chilli (ground the beef tips) gazpachos and butternut squash bases for winter soups! Finally, we made organic, pure pureed baby foods. You can make banana- stawberry puree, freeze into icepop molds; steamed then cooled veggie puree; boiled boneless chicken/ turkey. Possibilities endless. Savings = Great.
