MS SS 1QT SAUCE PAN

I received this pan to test. I like the lightweightness of the pan. It's easy on my wrists to pick up. The lid fits snugly on the pan. The design is visually very good. The handle is riveted in place, the lid has a strainer function built in, and it looks very similar to my current set, all Stainless steel so oven safe. This 1qt. saucepan is fine for heating up some veggies or a can of beans. The first use I noticed after first use there is a ring of rust visible from the inside that mirrors the center of the disc bottom. It is not meant for higher heat, as that will damage it.

Shiny outside and inside. Lightweight. Great for cooking small portions of oatmeal. Also great for making sauces and boiling eggs. Has a little spout from where the liquid can be poured out. Can hold up to 5 extra large eggs.

I really like this little pan, and the built in strainer on the lid.

While I like how lightweight the small pot with lid is, there are several problems. The Home Tester Club card that came with the product said "hand wash only to keep your cookware looking great" but the official Mainstays directions that came attached to the pot said "Wash before first use, dishwasher safe" That definitely gave me pause because that is mixed messaging. Also, the Mainstays directions said "Do not boil dry. Use only medium or lower heat settings. High heat, boiling dry, or high flames can cause cookware to turn black/red" I have never had that problem with any other cookware before. You really could only use this to warm something up like a sauce, not boiling water. You also are told to use gloves when hot and to use oven its or pot holders. Overall, I don't recommend anyone purchase this. It is totally cheap and unsafe. I have saucepans that are safer to use than this.

The Mainstrays 1QT saucepan claims to be perfect for soups, sauces and more. It is a stainless steel with a built-in strainer. I am a huge fan of cooking for my family, so I was excited to try out this pan from Mainstrays. I have never used a kitchen appliance from Mainstrays, so I wanted to know how this would compare to my other pots/pans. To test out this saucepan, I decided to make a soup. The saucepan was a perfect size for the soup. The strainer made the soup mess-free. I felt confident and comfortable using this saucepan. I even decided to clean this pan in my dishwasher. I didn’t experience any wear or tear after cleaning it in the dishwasher. I also felt like this pan was comparable to my other kitchen appliances, which is perfect for me. All in all, I would highly recommend this pan, the Mainstrays 1QT Sauce Pan, to my family and friends that love to cook.

Mainstays 1 qt pot has a lot of great features for such a small unit. I love the sleek stainless steel look, the lid fits securely and the food cooks great and clean up is so easy. I haven't had to scrub hard to get off the food. When finished cleaning, the pot still looks perfect and shiny. The one complaint is the handle gets super hot (I'm not used to using pot holders), so I hae to be careful not to burn my hand. But I would definitely buy other products from this line,

The pot itself is fine and heats quickly and I loved the lids ability to strain and vent. But the handle is an issue for me, it gets hot on my gas stove and the underside of the handle had a space where the two handle parts meet and it is a bit sharp and if you move your hand down the handle toward the pot your skin can get caught, pinched.

This little pot is wonderful! Its a sturdy, well put together pot. To be honest, I wouldn't have normally considered buying this brand of pots, until i got this. The handle doesn't seem like it could ever become loose, which is a problem I have with a big name pots/pans company. It has little holes in the lid to line up with a spout in the pot to drain out. The lid is glass and clear, so you can keep an eye on what your cooking.

Even though this pot did work wonderfully, it didn't give me a the high hopes I was wishing for. It heated up quickly, the handle never got but when making rice, the vented lid didn't hold up (the bubbles began to spew over), ultimately had to leave the lid on crooked to vent the way I needed it to.

Cooking is fun time for me so I buy different utensils, cookware and gadgets but I don't know why I forgot to buy perfect size sauce pan for my green tea or sometimes small meal for my daughter. Home tester club hear me loud and send me this Mainstays 1-Qt Stainless Steel Sauce Pan. This pan has thick bottom so excellent for dishes that require even heat distribution and slow, steady cooking. The handle stay cool so no need to run for any gloves.This best part is fitted lid that looks nice with pan because most of this size sauce pan doesn't have lid. This pan is Dishwasher safe and heats quickly and evenly. I like this sauce pan and recommend to all. I will definitely buy more Mainstay cookware utensils.

Absolutely love this saucepan! Comes with glasss lid and looks great. Very stylish looking. Works wonderful, food didnt stick and was super easy to clean.

This Mainstays 1-quart sauce pan is the right size for quickly warming up a can of veggies, soup or water for tea. The lid has a hole to let stream out. It washes up well. It’s not real heavy on the thinner side as far as metal thickness. It’s a nice little pot.

I thought this sauce pan is a very good pan. It cooked evenly and cleaned up well. It stayed shiny after i used it. It is a good size pan and i would recommend it to anyone.

I used this post to make some veggies on the stove and it didn't stick, cleans easily, and good size for portion control. At first thought the lid was weird, but I think it makes sense

I was surprised by how well this 1 quart pan was able to conduct heat. It’s a sturdy stainless pan with a spout and glass lid with holes on one side for easy draining out any liquids in the pan. This pot is perfect for making pasta, boiling eggs, cooking ramen noodles, etc. I absolutely love it.
