Hyper Tough 30' Wide Tape Measure

I used this a few times around the house measuring things that were fairly short like 3 or 4 feet and it was great. Then I measured something that was 20 ft and when I pushed the button to reel the tape back in it, the tape got bent because it's too thin to handle the force of it coming back into the tape measure. Now it won't stay hooked on anything to measure, it just twists and pops off. I was hoping to have this one for quite a while but it's "super thin" and I wouldn't purchase this especially if you plan to use it on projects that require a lot of measurements.

I used this tape measure to build overhead storage in garage. I really liked the printed on the back side measure, saved time and was easier than twisting the tape to read it. The more I used it I the multisided hook I think became my favorite part of the tape measure. You can hook it on the face, edge or the normal bottom, very handy. The only downside of this tape measure is the weight, it's a little heavier than other 30' tape measures but not enough to discourage me from using it. The other features made up for the heft. I would recommend this for light duty projects or a full construction site. I was surprisingly impressed with it.

It is very durable! I love that it is very well made! It fits perfectly in my hand to easily measure things around the house!

For an inexpensive tap measure, this guy works great. It's heavy duty with solid construction. It has a non slip surface and option to measure horizontally and vertically is great. It seems to have a lock and a semi-lock feature which is nice when you need to extend or retract it just a bit more. Overall, I was very pleased with this tape measure. It stretches out to about 7.5' before it collapses. You know I had to check. For the price, it's definitely worth it.

If your in carpentry than you know how abused tape messages can get. Those nice fancy expensive ones can eat a hole in your pocket. Ya you can afford it but what could you spend that money on? The wide easy to read Hyper Tuff tape is an amazing alternative. It's affordable and durable. Who cares if it's not name brand it takes measurements and and easy to read. I think it does qhat you really care about... accuracy.
