Also water resistant so you if you get a flat tire in the rain, this is a great item to have as it has a stand as well so no need to hold it! This product is really great for anything like hunting, fishing, working out in the garage, in your car for emergencies, etc. The only thing it could use is maybe a clip so you could clip it on your pants. Uses 8 AA batteries but only came with 4 which I thought was kind of odd. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family. This week I had the opportunity to try a folding lantern by Energizer, and I really enjoyed its unique form factor. I use lantern products primarily for electrical outages in the home. This week we had a huge snowstorm up north. Let's talk form factor. When you see this lantern, you will realize it is not a traditional lantern in any sense. To start, the lantern has a soft handle on the top for easy holding. The light of the lantern actually flows from the front of the device. It also has a sturdy foldable stand on the back. The front section is also foldable, and you can raise the light up, making it perfect for reading or playing a game in the dark. Upon receiving the light, you have to hold the power button for about ten seconds to get it out of tryme mode. It doesn't come with an instruction manual, so it can be a little confusing, but the directions can be found on the back of the box. Overall I give this product a 10/10! Loving the unique form factor.

It worked great for about 20 minutes. After that, the light will turn on and immediately shut off again, and also strobes. Would be awesome if it actually stayed lit. It's nice that it's easily portable and adjustable, but useless since it doesn't work properly.

I enjoyed trying this very much. It is very bright and it can fit flat into spaces I can't get my hands in. It has a very nice look to it. It is a bit odd shaped for your hand but it doesnt keep it from being a great product. Plus its Energizer!

I love this Energizer LED folding lantern. It is lightweight, handy and really easy to use. It is bright enough for my needs, you can use the light fusion technology which lets you dim the light. I wish the battery was rechargeable.

I have tried many different lanterns this year, and I love this one for use as a directional reading light. It is very simple to direct the light wherever you want. That said... the instructions on the packaging are not clear or detailed enough. It tells you how to turn off the test function. It does NOT tell you ANYWHERE how to adjust the light intensity. There are 10 different settings that are impossible to find without a lot of experimentation. You need to continually hold down the power button until the light reaches the level of desired brightness. That, and the fact the lantern ate through the included set of batteries before I even got the pictures made. It literally shut itself off while I was setting up my shot, and won't turn back on. And it is HOT to the touch. I would not re-purchase this product. Which saddens me. I really wanted to like this one.

The Energizer LED Folding Lantern works perfectly as a camping light outdoors and a work light indoors. It is compact enough to fit in a backpack & toolbox. We use it to light in the dark & in tight spots on our RV underneath. It lays flat, is easy to pack & store, & bright enough enough to see nooks & crannies when fixing tiny wires & valves. It's been a great addition to our RV.
