Extremely Useful in Many Situations
Easy access to the battery compartment. Do keep in mind that this lantern uses 6 D batteries... very bright light and so light weighted and easy to carry.

Bright light to fill a room
Living in Florida, hurricanes and power outages are a thing I have to be ready for. So having lighting ready is always a good thing. The Energizer Weather Ready Folding Lantern is great to have on hand for those moments. It's very bright, able to light up a large space. It can be flipped upward so it shines in every direction, so great to put in the middle of a room to light up everything. It comes with 3 lighting modes: a very dim nightlight look, a medium brightness and a high brightness. I kind of wish the medium was a bit dimmer, as even the medium is very bright and doesn't seem like a middle-ground between the low and high. I also wish maybe that it was rechargeable instead of taking batteries. You can always get rechargeable batteries, but it would be nice to have the recharge ability built in. But overall, I rank this highly and would recommend it. It's a great lantern and can help a lot during those times when you need to light up an area.

A good light
The light features 3 settings which are helpful. It does a great job and is easy to use. The biggest drawback is the four D size batteries that are needed as they are not cheap.

A camping MUST
I couldn't br nor excited about this little lantern. It is really cool because of how convenient it is and especially for camping! It folds down so you can place it where you need it to be facing and then you can fold it up and hold or hang it like a lantern! So easy so BRIGHT! Definitely a camping must!

Very convenient and bright
This Energizer Weather Ready Folding Lantern is great. First of all it is very bright and would be great in a power outage. It is also waterproof so it can be used in inclement weather. My basement is dark and this is perfect if there is work needed to be done and not enough lighting. It also folds so when not being used it wont take up a lot of space

Amazing lantern in the nick of time
This weather ready folding lantern truly came to me at the perfect time. In Oklahoma we had an ice storm that knocked our power out for several days. With this lantern I was able to see at night with no problems and wasn’t relying on candles and flashlights. It’s easy to use and gets super bright! Love that there are 3 different light settings too. We also used it outside on our candy table for Halloween once it was getting dark. I plan to keep it handy in my laundry room for other power outages and can use it in case of emergency in our storm shelter

Better than a Lantern
The Energizer Weather Ready Folding Lantern has replaced my old lantern. I got to say this one is a lot better as it is really bright and easy to use. I don't have to hold it all the time or point it to a specific direction as it would stand on its own and bright all the surroundings.

Brighter than I expected
Energizer Weather Ready Folding Lantern is really very essential tool that comes in handy and easy to use and very durable. It is great when I mostly needed it during the brief power outage that often happens during the Hurricane season here in Florida .. I love it because it lights up any room very well and bright, specially that it comes in 3 lights in one and I really like the night light finder feature. It is very easy to fold and the size is great for storing it anywhere. I also find it very important that is is safer than oil lamps and candles, not to forget the Batteries last a long time. Energizer Weather Ready Folding Lantern is a great product! Energizer has been always a well know name brand of good useful products.

Weatherproof lightweight lantern
Ok so let me start by saying I am lucky enough to live in 3 different parts of this country throughout the year. I spend summers up in White Mountains, NH and Boston and then winters down in Florida. My point is that in every house I need many flashlights because of all the different storms we get and how many times a year we lose power. Well this one flashlight has replaced about 4 average sized ones up in my NH house. This product is really great because its very lightweight, battery operated, and incredibly bright. I turned off all my lights just to see how much of my home was illuminated by this lantern, and was shocked. It honestly felt like I had a LED lamp pugged in, I mean this thing is bright. I couldn't tell you how long the batteries last but it does take 4Ds so I imagine they last quite awhile. Another thing I really like about this lantern is its weatherproof. It wont get ruined in the rain/snow. I will definitely be investing in a few of these for each one of my homes.

Excellent lantern
