Tefal Pro Express Ultimate II GV9713

I haven't used a steam generator iron for many years, since the first generation of products that were absolutely HUGE! This unit is much smaller than the ones I have seen before, but still a good size of tank and the iron itself has a substantial footprint. The build quality is good and nothing feels flimsy or as though it would break easily. One thing that did confuse me was the lack of temperature control settings, whilst there are various settings for the amount of steam, you cannot alter the temperature of the iron itself. Having read the instructions and some other online reviews, I was relieved to see that this did not appear to be a problem for other users. I have tested the product on a number of occasions, ironing everything from thick denim and cotton, to silks and other delicates. This iron has dealt with all fabrics well and the creases have fallen out with just a little application of steam. I would say that this is ideal for everyday domestic use for a large family.

i have found this really easy to use, irons clothes quickly too and i have also used it on delicates with no issues, it holds lots of water too for the steam! issues with this though it does make it bulky so can be difficult to store for some people qnd can be heavy. however the clips to lock it in place and carry are amazing not once did it drop, i will continue using it!

At first glance the unit looks really big and bulky and way more heavy duty an item than I would consider necessary for my families laundry needs. Once I got going with it I loved how light and easy it is to use. The lack of heat/fabric settings is a bit odd but it does seem to work well on all different fabric types. You just have to take a leap of faith that the gadget knows what it's doing. I found the boost setting was needed to get a smoother finish on cotton shirts, and even then I don't feel the finish is as sharp as my old Tefal steam iron - this is the only reason I did not give five stars as I love everything else about it. Watch out for the steam boost button on the under side of the hand grip. If you catch it by accident, the loud noise of the steam will make you jump which is not ideal with a red hot iron in your hand.

This product is great at ironing/ steaming and really gets it done in no time at all. I whipped through 3 baskets of ironing in next to no time. But; 1. The product overall is heavy and bulky to the point I had to put the base on the floor next to the ironing board as it wouldn't take the weight when filled with water. The hand iron bit itself is very lightweight 2. The base leaks. Every time I used the product, there was a small puddle of water on the floor, despite checking everything was in place, correctly fitted etc

An innovative iron that works as advertised! It does iron out creases quickly and easily with the steam, plus it’s automatic so you don’t have to worry about settings. I never know what setting to use and worry about damaging clothes, so this is a great feature for me. The disadvantages are that the steam base is so big that it takes a whole lot of storage room - you need to have a big house to store it in! Also very expensive for essentially an iron, so you have to weigh up if this is worth spending on considering the cost of living crisis.

I loved testing this steam iron. I regularly iron a load for the family and find that it takes time away from my evening or weekend that I could spend with the children and my partner. Trying this very powerful steam iron I was blown away by how easy it was to get rid of crease and iron clothes for the week ahead. I'm not that good with newer technology yet I had no problem setting this up and using it from the get go. Thank you Home Tester Club for the opportunity.

I recently had the chance to test out the GV9713 Pro Express Ultimate 2 steam iron, and I was blown away by its performance. The most impressive thing about the GV9713 was its steam output. The ceramic soleplate glided smoothly over fabrics, making ironing a breeze, and the water tank was easy to fill and lasted a long time before needing to be refilled. Overall, I was extremely pleased with my experience using the GV9713 Pro Express Ultimate 2 steam iron. It exceeded my expectations in every way and has quickly become my go-to iron. I would highly recommend it to anyone in need of a reliable and effective steam iron.

I was able to go from delicate fabrics to sturdy denim without changing temperature. The creases just disappeared after one pass of the iron. You can even iron over printed fabrics. Takes longer to get to temperature than a normal iron and of course it’s a lot bulkier because of the water tank. Tank lasts for maybe 10-12 items.

For once I never thought I will look forward taking ironing board out from the cupboard...This iron delivers to the highest standards without a fail. It is very powerful steam iron and heats up in seconds. My major concern was not having option to manually select temperature. With different materials available I was sceptical that this iron will deliver to "intelligently recognise" different type of materials and adjust the temperature accordingly. Well, I was wrong: from the start to finish every garment I ironed (including towels, sheets, t-shirts and shirts) the temperature was always somehow adjusted to perfect love. I don't know how, it must have been magic! But it worked. Like all irons of this type this iron takes a lot of space to store in the cupboard. For me this wasn't a problem, but for the ones who don't have utility room or extra space for storage this might not be perfect solution.

when it comes to irons, I always used just a standard tefal iron for about 30-40£ from any supermarket. It was never big deal, untill I was asked to test GV9713. Oh Boi! if you comparing it with a car, my now ex iron was a fiat, this is porche or a lamborghini. It works superb, steam helps with making ironing quite pleasent (something Im not a big fan of), maybe the slightly tiny issue I find is a water container which is quite small, I think for this class of an iron it should be bigger. It would save few trips to kitchen to re fill it. Otherwsie, wow what an iron. Great perfomance, instantly heats up and has tonnes of options. Highly recommended

Efficient and speedy ironing, very powerful steam coming out. Although it looks big it fits well in my cupboard, iron clips to the base which is very useful when it comes to moving it around. Easy to operate

Fantastic product, very easy to use.cuts ironing time in half. Easy fill water tank, max line clear to see.easy on off button.removes creases fantastically due to the crease remover by steam.tried on different fabrics was great results on everything from printed T-shirts to my silk table cloth, i wouldn’t want to iron any other way from now on Tefal have manufactured a fantastic product, I would highly recommend this

I have previously only used a standard steam iron so was blown away but the power of the steam produced by this steam generator. Its simple to use and you can power your way through the Ironing pile without having to worry about changing the temperature or heat setting. I would definitely recommend.

I was overall impressed by the Pro Express Ultimate - so much constant steam, glides easy, and simple to use. The unit itself is heavy and bulky to store, but that doesn’t take away from how good it is to use.

I felt so fortunate to have the opportunity to try this product . I iron ! And I mean I am someone that my friends laugh at for being obsessed with my ironing! And I love this iron ! Lovely and smooth ! Quicker than the traditional ironing,I go through my lot in probably half the time ! Love the steam upright function ,the safety features ,it switches off by itself if not used for a few minutes ! It locks in safely so children can’t just topple them over , I am always managing to burn a finger a bit - but this has really saved me. I know Tefal as a brand , I have used a variety of products from pots and pans , But this iron is my favourite tool so far ! I would whole heartedly recommend it!
