Tefal Care For You

Overall I liked the idea of the products intention. However it was very cramped to have 5 items in there at a time so hard to get every crease out if you don't position them exactly. Also the pegs at the top were very fiddly. It did get rid of some of the odours on certain items but instead made the clothes smell a bit burnt. It also still takes up a lot of space when folded down, I think better design could've made it fit smaller. Also I'd be concerned how much electricity it uses just for a few items. When using the sanitising option, it does kick out a lot of steam at times instead of containing it. I recommend it for steaming/sanitizing jeans however which can't be washed too often. As well as suits rather than paying extortionate dry cleaning fees. Coats are also good to give them a refresh. Unnecessary for normal everyday items though

I thought this product might have made some day to day tasks easier, but unfortunately it just caused frustration. It makes sense to break this review into 3 sections. The dry function I put 2 adult size jumpers and one child's polo shirt in, sticking to the maximum of 3 garments at a time. After 20 minutes they were warm to the touch but just as damp as before. The inside of the canopy you pull us was moist and warm also. After another 20 minutes they were only slightly less damp so I gave up. Steam The process of clipping on all the weights before hanging was more annoying than ironing, but I went ahead with it. Clothes went in dry and creased, after 20 minutes they were damp and slightly less creased. Ironing would have been easier. Sanitise I put in a suit jacket that was due for a dry clean and it came out basically the same as it went in. I couldn't validate the claims of killing bacteria. All in all, easier to iron, dry clean tumble dry. Cannot recommend.

I was really looking forward to trying this product out - it looked like it would be a useful all in one laundry appliance an would take the hard work out of some laundry tasks. Firstly it is quite awkward to set up it took two of us to get it out the box and then the product could really have done with handles to help lift it. Set up was easy enough and the operating instructions easy to follow. We tried it first on steam with couple of my dresses, I used the weights as instructed, put it on for 30 mins and listened to to it rumble and groan for that time - it was quite noisy. Once finished we opened it in anticipation of wrinkle free dresses - this was not the case they looked exactly the same as when they had gone in. Thinking it may have been operator error we tried it on one of my husbands jackets - same thing it looked no different after 30 mins in there. At this point we actually said if we'd have bought this, we'd have sent it back. Shame really, I wanted to like it
