Killer Taste
By themselves they have a bit of a kick so you need to like curry. I decided to make an original recipe called killer balls. I put drained beans, oats, tomato sauce, Bbq sauce and worcestershire sauce in my mixer until tey were all blended together. I then made into balls and kept in fridge. It had a smooth taste with a bit of a kick in as you would expect but I did find them particularly moreish. My daughter doesn't eat so tried them on her and she loved them. They go well with salad, vegetables or just a snack by themselves. Plenty of fibre and until I was asked to test the beans I had no idea about them. YUM!

Filling high protein meal.
Unfortunately this can of Makhani style baked beans didn’t rate for me. They were very pasty to eat and I didn’t like the curry flavour, it wasn’t hot or spicy but I didn’t like them. Won’t be buying these.

Mild curry flavour
Well, I had plans to make this into a family dinner with some pearl cous cous, vegetables and diced bacon but it wasn’t to be. My hubby got to it first while I was at work. His words as follows:, loved the curry flavour, never thought to try something like that before. Jury’s out on the addition of chickpeas but they mixed well with the beans so didn’t really change the flavour or texture too much. He ate it on toast and there was not much left on the plate as evidence! Overall, he said he would buy again, and it was a nice change to regular baked beans.

Surprisingly good!
I was super keen to try this out as I have never seen this brand on the shelves before. I have also never tried curry baked beans either. I like the label packaging. Simple yet eye catching. Unfortunately, I never go to taste this product as whilst at work, my son who came home from school called to tell me that he saw the can in the cupboard and made jaffle toasties with them and they were delicious. He wanted to know where I got the can from! Disappointed as I never got to taste it and didn't think that he would open it without me so I could do the review. So here are my son's thoughts and words: I was curious and had to try them, so I made toasties from them. It's so tasty & they are now my favourite. It tastes like I'm eating Indian food from the restaurant. It's so yummy. Please buy it again. I will definitely be purchasing these so I can try them as I was thinking of boiling some rice with it. So the verdict, according to my son is this was a hit!

Killer booms with a hit of taste
I wasn't sure at first. When I read Killer Beans - Temple of Boom, I immediately thought hot and spicey. But I was wrong. These Muakhani beans were delicious, tasty and full of flavour. We used them on baked potatoes and they were the perfect addition. Loaded with indian spices in a chunky sauce we lioved them. I'll be buying these again. The spices were not over powering all but made your mouth sing.

Strong flavor
Great to eat with rice - quick and easy. Flavors are bold and interesting. Combin with a vegetarian curry for added flavor.

Quick and easy
I am glad I had the opportunity to try these beans as they aren’t something I would usually pick off the shelf. The beans were heated and eaten with mini pappadams on the side, making for a quick lunch option when pressed for time. They had just the right amount of spice and were very filling. Can’t wait to try the other flavours now too.

Lunch - beans on naan bread
We tried the baked beans on naan bread for lunch. The curry taste was not over-bearing, it was just at the right level. The beans were not soft or hard; just right. The beans complemented the naan bread well. The sauce was at the right thickness level and did not run over the side of the naan bread. Overall, very tasty and nice.

Rich chickpea curry
I love chickpeas and curry so I was really looking forward to trying this but my husband doesn’t care much for chickpeas. I loved the label with the humorous cooking instructions. I chose the saucepan method. The ring pull made it easy to open. The contents heated quickly and easily. I served it with buttered toast for our lunch. To my complete surprise, my husband loved it. Less surprisingly, so did I. The flavour was rich with a tomato curry sauce. There were a lot of chickpeas and they were a soft texture which was so nice. The sauce bean/chickpea ratio was perfect. I have already gone out and bought this one to keep in our pantry.

A different take on beans
This was a great change from Baked Beans. Whilst a little worried about the idea of chickpeas in my beans, I honestly didn't even realise they were there when eating this meal. It was flavourful, nice curry flavour but no real heat and I have recommended it to friends.

Uninspiring Makhani Killer Beans
I make and eat a fair amount of curries (indian, thai etc) and this makhani style curry is a rather uninspiring attempt. Definitely not 'killer beans'. There is no significant spice (I'm not referring chilli) in the product, albeit butter style chicken curry products are generally on the milder side. The sauce consistency is gluggy to say the least and the beans are on the firmer side and could do with a bit more cooking. Whitlock & Sons, I would suggest that your team needs to reformulate this product. How about actually putting some fresh fenugreek leaves (methi) in the product to accentuate the butter chicken style flavour and thin out the sauce?
